I know that ive been a bad blogger these past cpl of weeks:(
The first week or so wasnt my fault...lol...no net...so no blogging...lol
Since then ive been super busy.At the moment everytime that i get a chance to get in me craft room,i seem to spend all the time i have in there, cleaning it,and trying to organize things. Then as soon as i start creating sumats,it ends up looking like a bomb site again..lol So then im back to square one. I soooooo need more storage space...drawers ect..instead of stuff piled on stuff...lol
I also just bought me one of those CIS (Continuous ink systems) Which means that ive now had to put me printer in me room so as its out of the way.It was a bit fiddly to set up,as the instructions didnt really relate to my printer:( and the cables went left instead of right like how i needed them...so a bit of diy (Lots of cellotape) i have got it sorted...lol And i must say that for anyone printing papers ect...or even your photos...get a CIS. I have printed loads of papers last night...and loads n loads of photos (at photo quality)..I only ever print the papers at text quality...as they print perfect at that...text quality is the second setting on my printer.
Well with all these things that ive printed, the ink doesnt even look like it has moved, can you believe that??..amazing...lol I sooo wish i had one of these a few years ago...(although they werent around then) I go through stacks n stacks of ink,as i always print out all papers ect from all the kits i design, before i release them. But then i print loads out to use...then me photos..ect...so haveing this CIS is fantastic for me.*I love it!*
Ive also been busy getting some of the new stamp designs together...also i have designed some lovely jubbly new packaging:) *I love that too*
Then i have been playing catch up with all me emails(From when i couldnt get online)
Also i have been recieving loads n loads of emails regarding the dt call :) I know that i havent been able to reply to every one that has applied, and for that i apologise...i am just soooo busy right now. I have however read all the mails....looked at the creations...visited your blogs ect..:)
I do have myself a shortlist of maybes?...lol However the call is still open untill next thursday...so who knows what will happen! The peeps that i do choose will be notified on 1st August.
I wont have time to email everyone who hasnt made it onto the dt.If you dont make it on this time...there will always be next time:) and the possability of guest spots ect :)
Some of the peeps that have applied are very, very talented...and make such beautiful creations...and believe me it is a very hard job to choose. Howver i shall be making my choice on the 1st August :) So good luck to all who have applied:) and also to those who havent yet applied...lol

I havent been around as i havent had any internet connection, but im back now :)
Here is my creation for this weeks Funky Fairys challenge
This week the challenge is *STITCHING* It can be real stitching..faux stitching ect...but some form of stitching on your creation.
I decided to create a photo box frame thingy! Its quite a decent size...over A5 in size. The depth of the frame is probably over 1 " to. (Think this will be going on me wall) It obviously has acetate *not glass* lol under the aperture.
I used papers from 'Funky meets shabby chic' for the frame and the inside.
I also used 'precious moments' sarah kay stamp..(which i actually decoupaged a bit) *this doesnt happen often...lol*
I also used a mambi...crystal sticker thingy??? for the baby girl sentiment
Little princess embellie from k& co
likkle charm ~ K & Co
Although you may not be able to see in the pick i have drawn stitching around the inside edge of the frame with a pink souffle pen, i have also hand stitched on the buttons.
The likkle butterfly is K & co too!
Why not pop over to Funky fairys challenge blog and have a look at the other creations that the girls have made :) Or why not join in with us yourself :)

Iam here:) Internet probs as usual...it always happens to me.So apologies to anyone who has emailed me in the last cpl of days...who i havent managed to get round to answering yet.Iam trying to catch up on emails...i do have several email addys ...so this does take a while...lol
CHECK OUT the BLOG OF INSPIRATION for some AB FABBY CANDY!!!
Sooo...back to the point of this post...lol
Anyone who owns a cricut should read this:)
I have the cricut expression...which before i bought it i simply COULDNT live without...i needed it sooooooooo badly. So i gave in and bought it...lol Now...since ive bought it,do i really use it???...nope.All i ever seem to use it for is cutting card blanks.Thats a lotta dosh to spend yo cut card blanks...lol
Anyways i only have 2 carts. The carts are quite pricey too.I would have bought the craft robo for this reason, but i wanted to cut chipboard...and the craft robo just doesnt do that.So i went for the cricut expression for this reason.I also have the design studio software. With that you can create your own stuff...but the things you create can only be made up of elements from the carts that you have. And if you were to create a shape made up from 2 of your carts, when it comes to cutting it,you have to swap the carts. So even though you can create your own stuf, its not really your own,as you are limited to what shapes ect that you have on the carts that you have.
So for this reason i havent designed anything other than card blanks..lol
.........Well a cpl of months ago i heard about some new software by a different company. The software is called 'Sure cuts a lot' I downloaded the trial version of this software, but didnt really get the chance to play. With this software(IT costs $75) You can cut ANY font you wish from the fonts that you have on your pc,and there are basic shapes included to.So this eliminates the need to ever have to buy any font carts. So just with that itself..you will be able to cut basic shapes and any font you wish...without having to have additional carts :)
Well....today i decided to have a play the the programme...only to find that my trial had expired :( I knew i could cut any fnt and certain shapes..but i wanted to see what*more* i could do with it :)
So...i bought the full version of the software for $75
So all afternoon ive been playing with this :) Was it worth the money??? Oh yes...a bargain...lol
Not only can i know cut any font i wish, but ive also found that you can designyour own stuff.
Basically using your normal graphics programme..photoshop ect...you draw, create what shape...template that you want. The 'sure cuts a lot' only deals with 'SVG' files. So whatever you create must be saved as that file type. The programme i create with doesnt support this sort of file....so i simply saved my drawings ect as jpg..or png. I then open them in a programme that supports SVG files...(Inkscape) for example. So you would open your creation in *Inkscape..or whatever* With Inkscape you have to tweak your creation a little by the stroke/fill command.
Then you save that file as an SVG. Then open your 'Sure cuts a lot ' programme....import your saved SVG file..and there is your design/template on your screen, then simply click to 'CUT' and voila....your cricut cuts it :) Without the need for extra carts ect :) This is such a great find.I have been busy all afternoon creation some fabby flourishes with it.......and ive been cutting em out...they cut perfectly :)
So if you have the cricut or expression..you really ought to get this programme.Soon when i have a few more things designed i shall start posting my 'Sure cuts a lot' designs on the blog of inspiration for people to download and use.To use them though you will need to have the programme. So now for the mere cost of $75..i can now cut any font....and anything that i wish to design by my own hand...with no restrictions at all :) So now im quite liking me cricut...lol OOh just wait till ya see me flourishes!...lol
Thats it now...lol Just thought i would share that very useful information with ya..(Well its useful to peeps who have the cricut)

Just a couple of other things:)
I designed a cpl of shaped cards for the cricut(using design studio) and i cut a few out.
I decided to use this one with the oval aperture as a kind of picture frame.I embossed the whole thing with 'swiss dots' embossing folder. To try it out as a frame i decided to try out a sarah kay image...and this is the end result...I kinda like me likkle picture frame :)
This one is the same shaped card minus the aperture.I embossed this one with 'divine swirl' embossing folder. I also embossed the flower with swiss dots...i then inked lightly over the flower..which gives the embossed dots more defenition.
So while i was working on me tin i decided to do these cpl of things...(I generally flit between things..lol) The tub is a recycled hair gel tub (Those cheapy 50p ones ya get) They are fabby for altering...think i may now buy loads of gel and make Shane put loads in his hair ...just to use it up quicker so as i can have the tubs...lol
I've been itching to get me one of these tins (the blank white ones) to alter...but havent been able to get hold of one reasonably priced ...i only craft shop online..lol
anyhow crafts u love now have them :) Mine arrived this afternoon..........so i couldnt wait to get started,as i thought the printed verse Lydia sent me would be ideal for this.
I've decorated the whole tin with a pink paper from 'Funky meets shabby chic' then added lots of stuff..lol The left side and back havent had any embellies added...yet...this is omething that i shall be adding to.
What is gonna end up inside the tin is likkle scrap page type thingys..lol So it will be like a likkle scrapbook in a tin...so that is gonna be my project...lol I shall post new piccies as i continue to add to the outside of the tin....and of course the pages for the inside:)
I got such a lovely suprise this morning when mr postie arrived :)
A couple of days ago Lydia made this gorgeous likkle tag folder with the new 'funky meets shabby chic' papers, and she emailed me photos of it....and i loved it :) I also really loved the sentiment stamp which she had used on one of the tags! At the mo im very into inspirational quotes ect for my projects....this particular sentiment just spoke to me :) It does however make me think of Dan x and also about my life now.
Anyways i told Lyds how much i liked it...the sentiment and the gorgeous tag folder she had made.
Well just look what she sent me :) She sent me the fabby tag folder she made and also some stamped images of the verse :) So HUGE thanks Lyds...I love it :)
It so made my day:)
In the next post you'll see how ive already used one of the stamped images :)

I decided to join in with this weeks 2 sketches for you challenge
...and heres me saying earlier that im not keen on sketch challenges...lol
However im not sure ive got this right now...cos i decided to make something other than a card...and now on looking at the challenge...i think its only for cards...:( but ive made it now.
I decided to still go with sarah kay....and of course the shabby chic papers...i soooo love them.
I have made a large notebook with the bia...covered front/back/inside /outside with shabby chic papers. Water coloured 'precious moments' stamp....which reminds me there is one of these stamps up for grabs as the prize of this weeks ff challenge...:)
Back to the notebook...lol..I covered over the image with acetate...need to protect tha image...lol
added prima flowers...bit o chipboard...liquid pearls...brads...charm...buttons..ribbons..fibres...and bobs ya uncle...lol
I really love how this notebook turned out...the photos dont do it justice at all.In fact its so nice i think that i may have to give it away to someone...lol
Here is another of our ne stamp previews....stll to be released:)
To have a go at winning this stamp just before its release see HERE
Isnt she fabby....I would look like that in a tu-tu...haha
Ive decided to join in with papertake weekly this week...as its been ages since i last jined in with it. However when i popped over there...i kinda had second thoughts when i saw the sketch...lol
It is a fabby sketch....i however arent too keen on sketches as i find them a bit restricting...as i never plan anything out...i just start creating..throwing things here n there...n just see what happens...lol But anyways,i thought well i decided to join in this week....so i will.
So here is my creation based on the sketch.
