SOMETHING FOR BABY
As i havent done any of me 'baby milk tins' for ages ,i thought i would do one last night.
Since Chloe was born ,i guess my 'style' of things is changing.Im kinda really liking the 'shabby chic' look! *Something i would have soooo hated when i was younger...lol* However now that i have Chloe,i sort of want this style for her room ect.
Anyways,i bought me self some bits of material *which you shall be seeing lots of in me creations*
Here i have altered a plain old baby milk tin.Added paper to the outside/inside.Made some simple fabric bows, ribbon, buttons. I've actually used wire for the handle and then just attatched ribbon and material too it.
While i was taking the pics,i accidently knocked off the green button off the bow...lol It was wet, however it is now back in place, and completely dry!
I also made a matching card.I didnt have a sentiment to hand to use on the card,so for now i have just left it as it is.

When i finished this,i then thought of a great idea that i *should* have done!! So as soon as i have the chance i shall try out this idea..lol I do like this set the way that it is and im sure it would be a lovely gift for someone *I however don't know anyone who's expecting a baby girl* haha
My idea for an ideal unique handmade gift for a newborn is this.:)
Alter a tin, like what i have, but use a baby themed rubber stamp also, which could either be on the tin itself, the tag or the lid. Create a matching card, but aagin using the same stamp image on the card. Then get either a white bib, vest or babygro (or all 3)and stamp that same image you have been using onto it:) Roll up your bib ect...tie with ribbon and place inside the tin. If you were doing a bib, i guess you could even attatch matching bows to it too:) How lovely would it be to give something like that to someone.I would have loved to have recieved something like that when i had Chloe. I think i may have to get out the stamp *I have in mind to use* and add it onto the tin & card. Then just to try,i shall find out something of Chloes...a vest or something and try it! I only have black or white ink though,so for testing purposes i shall probably use black *must get some pink ink now*
If anyone else try's this gift idea,i would love to see your finished creation:)

2 sketches 4 you
A little bit late, but here is my take on this weeks sketch over on 2 SKETCHES 4 YOU
Originally i did *try* and do an acetate card..haha! Lets just say that the combination of me,acetate, stamps and ink don't work very well together.(Kind of forgot tha even stazon takes a while to dry on acetate. ) So i had to scrap the acetate one and quickly do this instead. I have however used a pice of acetate on the front of this card.
The bottom card was done for last weeks skecth *I didnt get it uploaded in time:(*

PAPERTAKE WEEKLY
This week i decided to join in with the challenge over on Papertake weekly
I dont really have the time these days to join in with this challenge. However this week i decided to make an exception as the challenge this week is as follows :
"Hi everyone - thanks to all those who joined us last week for Katharina's sketch - there were some really lovely cards! This weeks challenge is a charity one! Quick Cards made easy magazine are trying to break the record for the worlds biggest handmade card, for BBC Children in Need. You're able to use any products/materials you like but the finished card needs to be yellow!! The preferred size for the card is a standard A6 (approx 4x6 in). All cards will be put together to form a giant Pudsey Bear card! We'd love to help support this charity and I'd like to ask everyone who joins in with this weeks challenge if they would kindly, like to send their cards in!?Of course you don't have to and you can join in in the usual way but it would be lovely for PTW to be able to send off some cards to add to the total! For each different person who sends a card (or cards!) to me (to send on from PTW!)within the next 2 weeks, I will make a donation of 25p!"
So i figured that i would join in with this, and send in my card!
However when i was sat there 'wondering' what to do. I only had a bit of time to spare *i should have actually been doing website stuff...lol* So anyways with what bit of time ive had...i got to thinking about what it was for. And that really they need 'quantity' more than they need 'quality'
Sooo...do i sit here for maybe 1-2 hours *lol* doing just 1 card....or do i use my time wisely...and make the most of what time that i have...So i decided to make the most of what time i had.
Which meant that i ended up being able to come up with 20 cards!!!!
Just simple cards with a stamped image mounted with 3d foam.I used about 4 different stamps altogether.Thay are not all the same, similar but not exact...lol
As they need as many cards as they can get,i thought this was the better way, rather than concentrating all my efforts into just 1 card.
So here is my contribution. I shall be popping these in the post to Steph in the next cpl of days! So thats a £5 Steph...lol :)

FUNKY FAIRYS CHALLENGE # 34 'RIBBONS & LACE
This weeks challenge over at the FUNKY FAIRYS CHALLENGE BLOG is to use RIBBON & LACE on your creations.
I ended up making 3 cards...cos i wasnt 'happy' with them...lol
This card was the 3rd card i made *and my fave outa the 3*
I used the bright pink shabby style paper from the 'A chocolate covered christmas kit' *Must say that iam loving this kit right now* :)
I also used my cricut expression...*YAY* It sooo has to get some more use to justify the cost of it! Its the first time ive used any letters from the cricut on me cards...and i LIKE IT!!!
I must admit to having sat there for hours and hours over past few months cutting out shapes and letters on the cricut,so as i would *have them when needed* yeah right...that so doesnt happen.Ya just end up with boxes and tubs full of random shapes and letters...that end up not even matching what your working on :( *So bad idea that was* lol
Now i have a bit more *organisation * in me craft room,i have decided that i shall now start using me cricut...but simply *cut on demand*...so we shall see!

This card was card no# 2. Its made from a brown envelope. *It isnt finished yet* I used my newly aquired 'Faerie poppet' stamp *Hmphh...now thats another story*
I used a bit of pearlised chalk to add a 'bit' of colour to the image. The colours of the chalk on the image *SO DONT* look like the way that they do in the pics. I only added a little...and its a very 'soft look' you can only just pick out the colour. I think that maybe the fact that they pearlised, and it was night,so the lights were on...maybe thats why the colours show up that way on the image. *Trust me they dont look that way..haha*
My mum has all these figures ,and the plates..and she fetches em out at christmas...lol So i thought i would do this card as a xmas card for her. It isnt finished as the inside needs finishing. As i want to create a 3d christmas scene inside.*Will post pics of finished creation when ive done it*
The paper is K & CO.The mat/frame i stamped the image from is from 'A chocolate covered christmas' The verse on the tag is 1 of Funky Fairys NEW stamps *Note to self to get them added to the shop* lol The verse on the tag reads 'I wish once again I could see Christmas through a child's eyes.
2 of the flowers are primas. The others i cut out on cricut, crupled them and used distress inks on em.I even inked up the lace too..lol...and the heart. Anything that 'Could' be inked...got inked...haha
And of course ive used buttons :)

This was the first card i did. Very simple, but *Too* simple if ya know what i mean! So much so that i didnt really like it in the end...haha! So that why i ended up making the others!
