I'm in love...............

Yesterday the 'Home accents' cricut cartridge turned up :) So last night i decided to have a play!
I soooo love the butterfly cut off this cart :)...i also used one of the flourish cuts too.
Once again i used the viney flower type cut from the 'storybook' cart
I've been after the white prima hydrangeas for a while now, and a few days ago they came:)
Why did i want the white hydrangeas???....so i could colour them myself to co-ordinate with my colour theme. A few times i have coloured white silk flowers with pro markers...however i didnt want 'that' sort of look for this card...so instead i decided to have a go at colouring the prima hydranges with chalks...yes chalks.!! The chalks i used are pearlescant...and are a soft type of chalk.
The paper i used is one of my own designs from the 'Its just so distressing ' paper pack, i used a lovely green shade. All the cuts on the cricut were done on white card, then i simply inked them all up. I also inked the edges of the paper in the same colour.
For the primas i used a lovely green chalk for the whole flower, then i went around the edges with a bronze/brown colour chalk.
I think the primas coloured with chalks is 'amazing'...i love it..lol
this is gonna be my new 'thing' :)
I'm loving this flowery cut and the butterfly...i cant wait to do some LO's and some mini books ect using these cuts...just need to find the time now.

My top tip!
Instead of paying out for all different coloured flowers...buy white and colour them yourself,so as they co-ordinate perfectly.

Crafty shopping

Me & my 'crafty' shopping...lol
Ya know how 1 of my new years resolutions was to NOT buy any more craft stash until i had started using up some of my stash i already had.....and then how, when scrapshed announced that they were having the sale.....and i gave into temptation.....and bought some...haha *I have no will power* The fact that i had already broken the resolution, i figured *In for a penny, in for a pound'..lol I may as well just get 'everything' now...and then be done with it...haha..
So i ended up shopping 'again' at scrapshed...the second order arrived a cpl of days ago :)...BUT before the second order even arrived....i remembered some basic grey flourish stamps that they had...and i wished i'd got them...so back i goes 'again' for a third order...haha...still waiting for that order. I also ordered some other stuff from somewhere else...which has come :)
...Then...for ages ive been looking for an online shop that does the kind of primas ect that i like...i just HAVE to have primas...but its the hydrangeas that i love :) ...well....last week i found a site :))....how could i possibly resist!...haha Just look at this gorgeous parcel...this is how it arrived...it just looked 'so pretty' that i just HAD to take a photo..lol
Are they or are they not...simply gorgeous goodies :) hehe
You can get these goodies HERE
The little 'rusty pickle' button jars are FAB! They have them in all different colours! I would have got them all..lol, but until i get back in me craft room , i simply have nowhere for them, once back in me craft room though...i will be def getting them in diff colours...i think the glass jars are FAB!!

After doing the cuts using me sisters cricut storybook cart...i decided that i HAD to start using me cricut expression! The only carts that i have is plantin and express your imagination...so i had to get a cart that i WOULD def use for my cards and scrapping....so i got 'Home accents'...and it has just turned up while i've been writing this post :)))

...Then i got me one of the new quikcutz dbl cuts dies...haha...I just HAD to have the butterfly...lol..well...now i only have the old sizzix...and i have tried everything...and i cannot get it to cut...part of it wont cut at all....so even got a new cutting plate....and still no joy :(

I lao got....*which turned up yesterday* the new curvy rectangle mega nestabilities :))) Been waiting for these for a cpl of weeks!..Love em!!!

Today however i have ordered a cuttlebug...haha...well i need to see if the butterfly die will cut dont i..hah! I dont however feel 'guilty' about getting that cos when i get that im gonna give me sizzix and all me dies to bbw hospice for the kids to use :)

So all im waiting for is 1 order from scrapshed...me cuttlebug....and i ordered the woj stamp kit...haha!

But seriously ...that is it for me know...im buying NOTHING else at all for at least 6 months...haha

Inspirational card sketches

My Good friend Terrie Bailey has joined the dt over on Inspirational card sketches
So i thought i would hop over there and take a looksie, and join in on this weeks challenge :)
I decided to do my card a bit different to a 'normal' card, and instead i've done one like a matchbook type. When i thought of doing it like this, i wasn't sure what the end result would be, but now i've done it, i kinda like it :)
I've even 'dipped' into my scrap suppliesfor this card!!...again!...haha (Now that i'm starting to use some of me stash on my cards ,i dont feel as guilty for buying so much) haha

Funky Fairys challenge no # 2

The challenge over at the Funky Fairys Challenges blog
this week is 'Dots & ribbons'
I thought i would join in again :)
I went for quite a simple card, And i printed one of the green 'dots are distressing' papers directly onto card to make my card blank.I also used the same design on paper for the band accross the middle. The pink paper is from 'Its just so distressing Vol 2' (love these style papers)
I have also made a co-ordinating envelope/wallet style thingy for this card to go in...but i forgot to take a photo..lol So when i get a photo of it i shall come back and edit this post:)
the lighting is terrible in the kitchen as 1 of the lights is still broken, and its the 1 where i craft :(
So its quite dark ,and i cant see the colours properly..:(...Thats why the prima has turned out to be a very different shade of pink to the pink on the card...lol

Snow...Snow and more snow!

Well it snowed and snowed...and snowed!

Thankfully it now seems to have stopped, and is starting to melt.

Here are a few pics that i took of the likkle Chloe monster playing out in the snow on monday.

Its the 1st time that she has ever played in the snow!

Do ya like our likkle snowman that we made...haha!

I haven't known it snow this much for a lot of years.

And yes...she has 'socks' on her hands...lol
I remeber having to do this myself when i was younger..lol
She went through all her gloves very quickly,so we had to improvise with socks...loads of them too:)

How 'Cool' is our snowman...with his bisto gravy & drinking choc lids for eyes...haha

2 sketches 4 you

Well iam on the ball tonight aren't i! lol It is still monday evening here, but just gone midnight, so this post will show as tuesday. This has to be a 1st for me...getting a card done for 2s4u on the day of the sketch!!! Normally iam last minute lizzie...lol

The only reason that i managed to get this done tonight is that all the items that i used were there in front of me. My sis has lent me a few cricut carts, they came in the mail a cpl of days ago :) So over the weekend i did a few cuts using the 'storybook' cart. I so need to get using me cricut...ive had it a year now,and never really use it, apart from cutting card blanks..lol
Its not too bad if i was in me craft room, but at the mo,now that its cold,i have to craft in a tiny corner in the kitchen at the table, and the expression is so big it takes up all the room, plus its a pain getting everything out, then having to tidy everything away again afterwards. I think that i spend more time unpacking and packing, than i actually do crafting...lol

I'd just been printing off some papers, and id printed this lined paper....and i suddenly thought that i wanted to use it for the sketch. The cuts were right there in front of me too, so i thought id have a go with them, and just see if i could do anything with them.
So i took the flowery viney cut :) and the bird...and just inked them up,also inked up a chipboard heart.Added a few primas , buttons and lace...and there you go! lol
OOh and of course i just had to add in another of me 'newly aquired' hero arts sentiment stamp:)
Im glad that i managed to actually use some cricut cuts on a card:)
Still a bit 'unsure' about the finished result though...lol
Its not my usual...haha...and i dont ever do birds...lol
I would have liked to have added machine stitching onto this card....but that just aint gonna happen until i get back in my craft room, as where i craft is directly under Chloe's bedroom, and the machine is too noisy...so no more stitching for me until i can use my craft room again.

Just a card

Thought i would share a simple card that i made last week.
How cute is this stamp :) lol....No i dont own this stamp. When my sis came down to visit just before christmas she fetched with her ,her 'newly aquired' stamps that she had purchased since her last visit (just a couple of months before)...and believe me, she ALWAYS has LOADS of 'newly aquired' stampss...amongst other things....so as you do...i stamped myself loads n loads of the cute ones that i wanted to try.
I stamped loads onto white card, and loads in a letraset pad (which im glad that i did)
I've been using pro markers on and off for months now, and i just get so fed up with the 'bleed' on the card, i've lost count of how many coloured images have been ruined by this.
Anyways i bought the letraset pad months ago, but just never got round to trying it out, cos i do like to stamp onto card, and the letraset pad is really thin paper.
So last week i was sick of the 'bleed' thing, and decided to colour in 1 of the images that i'd stamped onto the paper.I gotta say that i think from now on i shall be using the paper, the result is far better, and once it is mounted onto card,it doesnt look any different than if it had been stamped onto card, and theres no bleed,(unless of course you really soak the image)
I only ended up making this card because i wanted to try out one of me newly aquired hero arts sentiment stamps that i got from scrapshed....lol (Love em)
