new goodies to play with!

Don't you just love it when you get new goodies to play with that you just love :)
Less than 2 weeks ago i decided to subscribe back to the simon says stamp monthly card kit. My order shipped on monday the 17th august, i had it in my hands the same week on sat 22nd of august!!! All the way from the states to the uk!!! Thats what you call super duper service and shipping:) at the same time that the postie handed me that he also handed me my much awaited fuse tool :) 2 fabby products at the same time, i was in crafting heaven hehe. So sooo many ideas, so many things and just never enough time.
So...first things first, the challenge over at the http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ is back to school. I decided to try out the new fuse tool for this and i created a little card and bookmark for the chloe monster.
Both the bookmark and card use items from the sss september 2014 monthly card kit.
I just couldnt stop playing with either the new sss september card kit and the fuse tool so i created a few more cards for the sss fkickr challenge which is pastels.
This card was created for the lil chloe monsters friends birthday. It was so quick and easy to create using the birthday bits stamp set, fuse tool ,sequins and glitter. I added a cpl of resin embellies too. I love this idea for kids birthday cards, wether girls or boys.
All kids like touchy feely shaky thongs haha. ( well i do anyway hehe )

A simple stamped quick card with no fuse tool in sight, ha.

The fuse tool is FAB i adore it, i really do. I love the birthday bits stamp set from sss too. I have hundreds n Hundreds of stamps/sets etc yet i didnt own any simple birthday sets with balloons etc,i have no idea why ive never bought any. I love this set, love the sentiments and im loving the little stamps in it. I have a thing for the tiny stamps that you get in sets at the moment.

I have been having a blast creating my own embellies etc with the fuse tool

I can wait to start creating Christmas things with the fuse tool :)
If you are still with me thanks for looking.

the lil chloe monster gets messy

The lil chloe monster wanted to join in with the http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/kids-summer-vacation-challenge/
Special kids challenge over at simon says syamp. She is however not so little now and is growing up so fast ,it only seems 2 minutes since she was a toddler and now she is 8 years old.At first she started on a card but then as it was an anything goes challenge she decided to design her own t.shirt. So out came an airblow pen machine thing that she got at christmas along with fabric pens, stencils n such.

Chloe says thankyou very much for looking :)

A little bit more colouring

I thought i would pop over to less is more challenge blog and maybe join in with this weeks challenge. So i had a looksie and this weeks challenge is ‘eyes’ I struggled for a while wondering what i could do, what i could use. Then i remembered about some new stamps that i bought a few weeks ago from the  craft show at doncaster. I bought a couple of santoro stamps. I think the eyes are quite a prominent feature of the stamps so i figured that i would use one of those. As the card has to be one layer as well, i wanted the image to ‘pop’ so i thought i would stamp the image directly onto kraft cs.

I couldn’t think of what sort of sentiment i wanted to add to the card so i figured that i would just leave it blank for now.

I coloured the image using prisma pencils.

Thanks for looking Smile

Colour throwdown

swatch 354

These are the colours to work with over at colour throwdown

I started playing around (as ya do) i decided on 2 different ideas, i couldnt decide on just one so settled for 2 hehe

This card uses stamps from PTI oval birthday, brushed blooms and nostaligic notions.

This card just uses stamps from the oval birthday set. I really love this set and i find that iam using it a lot just lately so much so that the set is just left out.

You can use this set for anything to create really quick cards. The happy birthday sentiment is from the set but really any sentiment stamp would work, great for invites and such.

I created some teacher cards with the set a few weeks ago but forgot to photograph them.

Thanks for looking

A little happy accident of sorts

Yesterday i was sorting rummaging in my craft room trying to organize a few things shove them out of the way   and i found so may stamps that i had forgotten about . I came across a few christmas things i made a good few years ago.

IMG_0847

All my christmas stamps/papers etc are all packed away so i decided to unpack my christmas things as it is August now ya know haha Smile I love creating christmas things.

Anyhows back to the point of the post. I decided to colour some images, its been quite a while since i coloured any images.

So i sat there colouring a cpl. I was almost finished colouring my gorjuss girl image , i was just adding polkadots to her brolly with a sakura soufle pen, when a pen rolled across the image and smeared the soufle pen ink all over!!!

I have a cork board in front of me where i sit at my desk and i have whatever challenges etc that iam wanting to do printed off and pinned onto that. On my board was this sketch from http://casethissketch.blogspot.co.uk/

CTS_135

I figured that i could perhaps salvage half of my coloured image and maybe use it to create something based on this sketch.

So a happy accident card was made. I just stamped and fussy cut out the clouds. Stamped on the sentiment and then added lots of little glossy accent drops to look like rain. The sentiment and cloud stamps are PTI. At least i manage to do something with the image rather than bin it.

A bit of a colour overload

…..It all started with this colour inspiration pic from colourQ

cqc302

For my first card i went with the pattern on the skirt. I used one of my most favourite stamp sets i own. Stella rose by my minds eye, ive had this stamp set quite a few years and still love it the same.

card 2 started with a printed card blank. then i added glittered texture paste with a stencil. The pennant stamps are from waltzing mouse and the sentiment stamps and die cut are papertrey.

So i started playing around using these colours and then combining with other challenges.

240

So combining ColorQ and the sketch over at MFT sketch here are the cards i came up with.

For these 2  cards i used mft blueprints 13 for card fronts. mft sentiment stamps. the star staps are unbranded ones from my stash. The circle stamps are from artemio

For the card below i used mft blueprints 13 again for card front. the gingham circle stamp is SU, all the other stamps are PTI.

1 card is more or less the sketch exact , the other 2 are slightly different, going with 4 and a sentiment.

Then there was the inspiration pic from Muse

museaug3card2

Straight away i though of the wreath from pti lovely laurels kit. The sentiments are PTI as well from the brushed blooms stamp set.

If your still with me thanks for reading Smile:)

mini books

This week over at pti mellisa has chosen the theme of creating mini notebooks.
I create little books quite a lot so i just simply had to join in.

I kept the embellies quite simple, using stamped die cuts, ready made die cuts and die cut felt leaves and flowers.

I used papers, stamps n embellies from the gorgeous nostalgic notions make it mark it kit.
The pink and white striped card is just from my stash.
I adore the nostalgic notions kit. Since the first make it market kit came out i was always thinking oh id love to have that. As im in the uk, with the postage it makes the price of the kits a lot, so ive always wondered should i, shouldnt i? Then by the time ive decided they have sold out so its been decided for me. I have been buying the mini make it market kits though.
Anyways nostalgic notions happened to be released on my birthday and at the time a friend of mine was in the states and offered to fetch some pti items home for me :) so it was a no brainer and they fell straight into my basket hehe. I bought the 1940's stamp set a while ago and that compliments this kit perfectly.
I think i need to get crearing more cards n such with this set.
Thanks for looking :)

a bit of a wooly adventure

As well as creating a few cards and bits and bobs ive alao still been creating with wool :) i just cant help myself. Its so easy to do while watching tv .

I created quite a large usable bag.

It is lined inside with fabric.

Im now creating a new large blanket, multicoloured wooly goodness :) We go camping in about 3 weeks and im hoping to have it finished by then so as i can take it with me :)
Howevever i can never just have one thing on the go, i have to have a few things to work on at once.

I absolutely adore these squares, i designed them myself and love them. I would absolutely love a large blanket made up of these squares, just how fab would that be, i think im going to have to make one.
Thanks for looking :)

mft colour challenge

While i was looking for new challenges i came across mft challenges http://www.cardchallenges.com/search/label/colorchallenge. They do both colour and sketch ones so i think that this is another to add to my list. I have a few mft stamps and dies (could always do with more hehe) and i love them i must say. The die set i use the most is blueprints 13 , i just love the stitched rectangle and i use it quite a lot on the front of my cards.
Heres what i created for their colour challenge.

I started with a printed cb with grey stripes. I used die cuts from blueprints 13.
It was simple and quick to put together.

The hello stamp and die is a pti one.

I created a second quick card with bits i had left over.

Im enjoying creating simple and quick cards right now. A couple of days ago i sat and printed lots of a4 sheets of card with colourd stripes and chevrons so as i could use them as card blanks. Normally i just use plain white but i thought i woyld try some printed ones for a change now and again.
Thanks for looking :)

cas colours and sketches

I have been looking around for new challenge blogs to join in with, mainly colour challenges, as thats what i seem to be enjoying right now. I came across a xhallenge vlog i hadnt see before, CAS colours and sketches. http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.co.uk
I thought i would join in with their challenge. This week it is both a colour and sketch challenge.
Heres my take on it

It was a very simple stamped card.
The stamps used were from artemio, wm, and pti. The hello die is a pti one, the inks used were a combination of su and pti.
Thanks for looking :)

case this sketch

I nearly forgot to post this card that i created for case this sketch http://casethissketch.blogspot.co.uk last week. I went in my craft room today sorting loads of stuff out and saw this card on the desk so it reminded me.

Its a simple card based on the sketch. I used pti stamps, ink and die cut hello. I also added a little liquid pearls. Its quite a bright card although it doesnt show up so bright in the pic.
Thanks for looking :)
