ALL THAT SCRAPS WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE

…I know it’s been a while, if it weren’t for bad luck i sure wouldn’t have any.

Anyhows back to the reason of the post…lol ATS wednesday challenge blog is now having 2 challenges a month. One on the 1st wednesday and 1 on the 3rd wednesday. This week the challenge is ‘ANYTHING GOES’ so easy peasy right?? Ya may as well give it a go…what ya gotta lose ?? BUT you can WIN 3 stamps of your choice All ya gotta do is create something following the theme of the challenge and use a stamp that is sold by the ats store (They sell a LOT of different stamps by different companies so i’m sure that you will own one that they stock. (You don’t have to have bought it from ATS)

Here is what i created for this weeks challenge

All stamps used are ATS in house stamps which are CC Designs.

Papers are basic grey & magnolia

images stamped on neenah solar white cs and coloured using copics, specrtum noirs and prisma’s.

Let it snow….

…Let it snow….let it snow!!! It may as well be snowing, it’s freezing today (the heatwave didn’t last long then lol The weather has gone completely bonkers !!!

There’s a new challenge over at LILI OF THE VALLEY, they must be feeling the chill as their theme this week is ‘LET IT SNOW’ . Iam still on with me Christmas cards and i wanted some that weren’t OTT that you could send to male or female and here is what i came up with.

I felt that this image went very easily with the simple approach, as there is plenty to look at on the image itself, so a simple card would go with it nicely I love this cute little image. I decorated the inside too. The sentiment inside, at the bottom reads ‘Let it snow’

I coloured the image in with prisma pencils. In my haste to get it all ‘sparkled’ up, i only went and forgot to colour the little star on the bird house!!!! I only just realised now that i have gone to post this

The paper used is basic grey. The sentiment is a chipbord sticker (Not sure who by,sorry)

Things are a changing

…over at ALLTHAT SCRAPS that is…

The challenges are now monthly, the first wednesday of each month. The other 3 weeks out of the month there will just be lots of eye candy for you to see on the challenge blog

Well today is the first wednesday in october which means it’s the start of a new challenge, and this challenge is ‘ANYTHING GOES’ easy peesy lemon squeezy, right? I’m still in holiday mode…haha I think i will be for the rest of the year. Iam loving these cutie CC designs Halloween stamps. Having never had halloween stamps to play with before , iam loving it…haha

Here is what i have created to inspire you.

I created a few more li’l bits n bobs for the Chloe monster. I made a halloween card. Isn’t that sentiment with the little spider and bat FAB! The Chloe monster hates spiders so this is just perfect for her…heheheh! I have this ‘thing’ for stitching and decorating the insides of cards (It just sorta happens..lol) I forgot to show thie inside of this card as it has Vlad stamped inside as well as the ‘Have a witching good time’ sentiment.

I made this double image into just a picture, just for decoration. I know that Chloe will put it in her room on halloween (or as soon as i let her have it) I used the ‘Hilda & Vlad’ stamp (I have chopped Vlad off…lol, that way i can use him when and where i want ) and i also used ‘Laugh Lines’I thought that these 2 stamps looked really well together, like two little friends who are about to go out trick or treating.

Here you can see the little stand that i made and attached to the back of me picture.

…last but not least . two little treat container ideas. 1 is a little pillow box treat ouch. The other is an old spice jar.(sorry about the slightly blurry pic)

The images have been coloured with prisma pencils except the black parts which were coloured with a spectrum noir pen.

It’s pretty palette # 29 already!!! WOW…the time has just flown by. I know iam late …again, i’ve had an awful migraine for nearly 3 days and it’s made me soooo behind with everything.

Here is this weeks pretty palette for you to work with.

Different colours for me….

….BUT i LIKE them

Over at the SHABBY TEA ROOM they are wanting creations with chevrons, also using the colours BLUE, GREEN,ORANGE.CREAM and BROWN . VERY different colours for me those lol, but i figured that i would ‘give it a go’ anyhows. (As ya do!)

I wanted the chevrons to have a ‘soft’ look to them so i stamped the colour off onto a scrap piece of paper first before i stamped onto here. I stamped the chevron stamp 3 times in orange, green and brown. The blue is in the paper and the cream the card base.

The butterflies were stamped in the different colours also. Just look at that bloomer!!! I swear i almost had a heart attack cutting into it and using some…lol

You can just see here that i followed the colours and the chevron theme over to the inside.

Pretty frames…..

That’s what i’ve been creating. Way back last year when i was visiting me sister i bought some wooden letters that were being sold off for about 49p each.They didn’t have enough different letters for me to be able to spell out words (I did get a few C’s though…lol ) but what i did get was O’s, i figured that they would be good for frames one day lol, so i bough some big O’s and some little O’s

Well i decided to fetch a cpl of me O’s out to play

The challenge over at the LILI OF THE VALLEY CHALLENGE BLOG is ‘BUTTON IT’ (Iam forver saying that to th lil Chloe monster, by that girl can talk and talk and talk…lol) However the challenge is absolutely nothing to with talking, lol it’s to do with ‘BUTTONS’ (as if ya didn’t already know eh…heh)

I painted the O with pink acrylic paint. I then gave it a coat of tim holtz crackle glaze stuff .I then rubbed over with some TH distress ink , vintage photo i think.

I used MILLY JUST FOR YOU STAMP, isn’t she cute. There is me 1 little pink button…lol (I was gonna add more but it just didn’t look right)

Everything on this got a bit of the old sparkly treatment…lol(When i say a bit, i actually mean a LOT…haha) I LOVE me sparkled up lil birdie To finish this off like a ‘Proper’ frame, it has acetate inside the window and the back is covered with chipboard with a little picture hook added. I had so much fun doing this one that i decided to do another one, only this time a lot simpler.

This one will hang on me wall at Christmas , in the newly acquired hallway (posh word for bottom of stairs) hehe

I used the O CHRISTMAS TREE STAMP

I coloured the image (both of them) with prisma pencils. Ya know i have bought(and spent A LOT) on a host of all different colouring mediums, yet i don’t know why but i just keep going back to me good old prisma pencils! I had these in the first place, so i could have saved myself a fortune eh…LOL

After i took the pic i decided to give it a spritz with some sparkly varnish spray stuff…lol So now it twinkles (I lOVE the old sparkly and twinkly, especially at Christmas ) I soooo hope all the building work/ new kitchen AND decorating is finished by Christmas, so as i can decorate it all up twinkly and sparkly .

…to be this months GUEST DT member over at the LILI OF THE VALLEY CHALLENGE BLOG
This weeks challenge is to use AQUA & white with the added option of glitter. Well right now iam still in Christmas mode. We are currently completely re-doing the downstairs of our house, knocking a wall…building another etc,(The living room was open plan…but not anymore ) plus getting a brand spanking new kitchen. Not sure how long this will all take, but iam hoping that it will all be built/ ready and decorated by Christmas.(That’s the plan anyhow) So IF it’s all done in time then i want to spend december crafting with the Chloe monster, creating decorations etc for the house and such. So right now iam wanting to get Christmas cards and the like all done. I have also decided that this year iam gonna decorate me own gift bags to put small gifts into instead of shop bought ones. So over the coming months you are gonna be seeing a load of gift bags from me…lol
The new Christmas stamps from Lili of the valley are just perfect for your Christmas makes.
I bought myself some paper bags, some white and some kraft. They are the takeaway ones, really cheap, I think they are about 9” tall. They do have handles on them, but for this creation i chopped the handles off…lol

I used the OH CHRISTMAS TREE stamp on my creation.

I decided to go with the optional glitter (LOADS of it as well) haha, well ya gotta have some sparkly for Christmas don’t ya ? The little Christmas tree got treated to a bit of flowersoft, while everything else got the sparkle treatment.

I even stamped and glittered up some tiny snowflakes onto the backing paper. Iam loving working with blues right now AND acrylic paint, can’t get enough of it at the moment. Oooh that button…lol It’s a websters pages sparkly thingy…lol I had a BIG box of WP goodies arrive here last week

IRL this sparkles sooooo much!

I gave the round sentiment a touch of the crackle paint treatment.

This gift bag closes together with basic grey magnetic snaps, which i have placed under the circles

IT’s ALL ABOUT BANNERS AND SOME FREEBIE PAPERS FOR YOU:)

Over at the ATS challenge blog it is an ‘inspiration’ week this week, and this week our theme is BANNERS. Here is what i created for this week.

I used some of the FAB new Halloween stamps from ATS .
I used HILDA & VLAD and a WISHING YOU HALLOWEEN FUN SENTIMENT stamp
I sooooo love these stamps. I don’t really create anything for Halloween, however i have decided to create a few things for the Chloe monster for Halloween now that i have these FAB stamps. The first of my creations is an altered paper bag which i have dressed up for her to use as her ‘Trick or treat’ bag My BANNER was stitched together on the sewing machine, then i stamped some letters to spell out TREAT

I coloured the image with prisma pencils and i used lots of giltter (Cos the li’l Chloe monster loves a bit of the old sparkly)

Leading upto halloween i shall be creating more projects with these stamps
I also have a FREEBIE digi paper pack for you if you want it. I used some of them on this creation. All the papers have a distressed finish , each design is in purple….lilac….orange……peach…….yellow and green.
I have had to split the download into 2 parts as it was so large.

A li’l bit of pretty…in blue :)

I guess pretty doesn’t just have to be pink….lol I’ve been using a LOT of blue just lately (Think it’s probably cos iam in Christmas mode LOL)

Anyhows heres a li’l ole card i whipped up based on the WALTZING MOUSE SKETCH . I always try and do the wmsc and everytime iam either too late in finishing me creation or just to late in posting it I was determined to not let this one pass me by I teamed the sketch with the challenge over at OUR CREATIVE CORNER which is ‘Not big on pink’, so ya gotta create something using blue with just a dash of pink and add something metal.

Combining both challenges here us what i came up with.

I used the dotty stamp from the WM ‘OFFBEAT BACKGROUNDS’ set (LOVE IT) who need dotty paper when ya can have a dotty stamp like this

I wasn’t sure if i wanted seam binding or lace on me card! In the end i went with both (as ya do) lol Me ‘bit of pink’ is me butterfly cameo thingy and me metal pin. I used a sentiment from ‘sewing box hugs’

I kept the inside simple with some stitching and a lovely sentiment, again from the WM ‘Sewing box hugs’ set.

…..That’s what sort of Christmas card that i have for you today. This card is for my special son that is no longer with us (I always make him a card and then after xmas i pack it away into his box)

Its’ a new pretty palette today over at MTME challenge

Today is also a day of remembrance as it is 10 years ago today when the dreadful attacks happened on the US. So many ,many people, men, woman and children lost their lives that day, so with that in mind we have chosen these colours for this weeks challenge.

I kept my card very simple. I used the FRAMED ELEGANCE stamp set for this challenge. My card is dedicated to all who lost their lives that day and the families that they leave behind.

ALL THAT SCRAPS CHALLENGE

It’s time for another challenge over at ALL THAT SCRAPS.

As it’s the beginning of a new month the challenge is ANYTHING GOES!!! So easy peasy lemon squeezy right! hehe I decided to alter a notebook to make it into a recipe book, as i love these super cute images and i just needed to create a project with them…lol

Here is the front cover of the book. I used Swiss Pixie Pie Birgitta digi image . After i stuck the image to the front of the book i covered over the image with acetate, to try and protect it from splashes…lol

It was a ‘sinch’ adding in some pages to this book using the binder punchey thing from SU.

I’m not too sure if iam keeping this one or giving it away, so that’s how come there is no sentimet on the front or any sentiments or writing inside the book.

I just HAD to use Swiss Pixie Coffee Birgitta Digi Image in this book as well

I think iam going to get a load more books and do some more as they were so simple using the punch instead of having to ‘dismantle’ the book. I do have a bind it all as well, but to be honest for what it costs for these hard backed notebooks it isn’t worth creating one from scratch. (Think i won’t buy anymore spotty books though…lol)

LILI OF THE VALLEY SWEET LI’L CHRISTMAS CARD

Iam sooo into creating Christmas cards right now…lol I decided to join in with this weeks LILI OF THE VALLEY CHALLENGE which is this sketch.

These sort of sketches ‘scare me’ lol It’s the whole layer on layer thing. Iam ‘trying’ to get over me fear of these sort of sketches though…lol I decided to join in with this one though so as to use me gorgeous Lili of the valley stamp.

Today was my gorgeous li’l Chloe monsters 1st day of ‘BIG’ school.

She still seems just too little to be at big school, she isn’t even 5 until January. For the next 2 weeks she goes from 8.50am until 1.20pm, then after 2 weeks she will be going from 8.50am until 3.20 pm. She had her 1st ever school dinner today and when she came home she was so pleased with herself because she managed to carry her own dinner tray without spilling any food

………..So while she was at school i decided to make a Christmas card for her using the lili of the valley sketch. Here is what i made

I love the way that this turned out in the end. Iam LOVIN this colour combo and can see me using it a LOT! The image has been coloured using prisma pencils. It’s the 1st time i’ve used that bluey/turqoisey coloured pencil and i LOVE it. The wooden snowflake is smothered in glitter but the pic doesn’t show just how sparkly this is. The papers are a mixture of basic grey/bo bunny and papermania. The ribbon and button from stash (coloured button with copics)

Over at the LET’S CRAFT AND CREATE challenge blog they are celebrating their 1st Birthday (I can’t believe that it has been a year already) They want you too re-visit a previous challenge, so i have gone for #11 – A stitch in time/ #19 –Sew Lovely/ #8 – It’s Christmas and #2 – Cute.

I have been a little quiet as i have been away at my sisters. I came back home last night. Iam a little late with this weeks ALL THT SCRAPS CHALLENGE

This week we are wanting EARTH TONES….Brown….blue & moss green

Here is what i created this week.

I have used SCARF HONEY….it’s the first time i have used this image…Love it! I used the spectrum noir pens again…LOVE these, i seem to be able to get the image to ‘pop’ more with these pens. I had to ‘throw’ this card together quickly yesterday lunchtime just before i left my sisters as i had only gone and done the WRONG challenge…one from 2010…LOL That will teach me to read things properly. While i was away i found out that one of me recent cards will be published in papercraft inspirations

The stitching was done on me sisters large sewing machine that went soooo fast i couldn’t keep up…haha. The papers i used are basic grey, not sure about the stamp as it was my sisters.

Pretty pretty My mind’s eye

…that’s what i have been creating with today. I created a card based on this sketch over at the MY MIND’S EYE BLOG

I kinda flipped the sketch…lol Here is my take on the sketch.

I coloured old buttons from my stash with copics.

I cut some of the papers with a papertrey die to create the butterfly.

Another copic coloured button…lol (Love it)

I used papers from My minds eye ‘tickled pink’ range. All the doilys were stamped with My minds eye ‘Stella and rose’ stamps (I sooooo love these stamps, they are just so pretty and stamp perfectly…I lurve them )

It’s time for another ALL THAT SCRAPS CHALLENGE

This week we have a sketch for you.

I flipped the sketch around for my take on it.

Iam still in Christmas mode…lol (Love it…hehehe)

I used the HONEY SKIER CC digi image on my card. I bought some wooden snowflakes a cpl of weeks ago. I sat and glittered several of them up when the came, they look FAB all glittered and sparkly. Here i have attached one onto my card. I’ve coloured the image with prisma pencils and the new spectrum noir pens. I bought some neenah cs when i bought the pens as that’s whats recommended (I’ve never tried it before) Gotta say that i LOVE it, these pens work a treat with it.

I even decorated the inside of the card (go me…lol) I have left the card without a sentiment as im unsure who this is going to yet.

YEP….I’m still in co-ordinating tag mode as well….lol

Pretty Palette #21

A card for 2 challenges .
THE SHABBY TEA ROOM want a ‘tea’ theme and the colours blue and green and LILI OF THE VALLEY want roses.
I totally forgot that i had bought these printed images from lili of the valley ages and ages ago, i found them the other day when i was sorting out me craft room. I thought i would use one of the cute images on me card.
This image is so cute…how did i forget about it??? I have sheets with other image on too…think am gonna have to get using them

That’s my creation for the day

Over at ALL THAT SCRAPS challenge blog we want ‘paper buttons’ this week. I decided to create a box..lol . I remember way back last year i created a box like this, i even used the same paper…lol however it has a different image, as this time i used the CC cute digi monkey which is available from ALL THAT SCRAPS.

I think the MS punch that i used on this has now come to the end of it’s life Am not very happy about this at all really as i have only used it a handful of times since buying it. It’s always seemed very ‘flimsy’ since i got it so it put me off using it. It’s only very very thin cs i used too.

I cut the paper buttons out using a papertrey button die. I then stamped onto them using random patterns and also stamps from papertrey’s button boutique,

Over at LET’S CRAFT & CREATE they want ‘Digi’ so as this image is digi this fits for that too I feel like i’m getting me mojo back and getting in the crafting mood once again…lol

Not sure if anyone else is having any problems with commenting (or maybe it’s just me…lol) but i’m having problems commenting on a LOT of blogs, it basically won’t recognise my id and will not let me comment…even when iam already signed in ???? So i have no idea what’s going on there.

Sparkly Christmas

….OH Yes….am already making a start on christmas cards…lol I want to get ahead and get them all done so when Christmas time comes round i can spend my time doing allsorts of xmas crafts with the li’l Chloe monster

I had the idea of getting a load of blank xmas cards ready like so..

A cute christmas sentiment stamped onto the front of the card

…and a li’l verse stamped inside.

Here i added a simple stamped and punched image which completes the card. A very quick modern crimbo card

Some will be like this and others will have a stamped image on the front…just know paper.

Here i used one of the new christmas images from Lili of the valley. This card was created for the current Lili of the valley challenge which is roses.

I added loads of glitter to the image….Ya just gotta have the glitter on the xmas cards don’t ya !!

I do have another card for this challenge but i’l have to post it on another post as it’s combined with another challenge.

WHAT…no flowers??????

haha! Yep that is what i have created for the challenge over at OUR CREATIVE CORNER cos that’s what they wanted. This is also for RAISE THE BAR as anything goes with them this week

For this challenge i created a card and co-ordinating tag!! (Yeah i know…i NEVER make tags…lol) This is about to change though. It’s something that i never create but yet it’s something that we can always use, plus sometimes a tag would be perfect to create when you want to enter a certain challenge etc but don’t have the time to create a card.

The manilla tags on my creations i put together a good few weeks ago. I just got a load of blank tags and then stamped them all with the oh so gorgeous MME doily stamp set that i have, stamping in all different colours. Then i used sentiments from papertrey’s ‘Love lives here’ set to stamp sentiments on top. Inked up the edges and then job done. They were then put away till i needed them. I think i did about 20 or so. I sometimes like to sit and just ‘play’ just creating embellies n such rather than creating finished cards etc.

Here ya can see me blank tags that i’ve cut ready and waiting to be prettied up…lol

MTME Pretty palette #21

It’s sunday again which means a NEW pretty palette for you to work with which is below.

Wasn’t really sure what to create, and just didn’t feel like creating a card, so i decided to make a l’il simple pillow box.

I used the FRAMED ELEGANCE stamp set for the frame and the sentiment.( I LOVE this set…soooo love that frame)

The butterfly die cut is a papertrey die.

I simply could not resist doing this card…lol Over here in the UK our summer has turned into a wash out with more rain than sun, so i figured a card like this was perfect….lol

I also got me this new image too so just HAD to make me a crimbo card hehe

They were both quick simple cards. (Can’t ya tell that i’ve had the cricut out to play…lol) Think i need me some more round cb…haha .

For some reason in the pics my burgundy looks kinds bright red , but i asure you it’s not…lol

I used one of the sentiments from the NIGHT AT THE MOVIES digi set for this card. I think that this sentiment is great as it can be used on quick cards as a focal point for either male or female.

A Creation at last!

It seems like…forever since i posted on here. Iam soooo glad that my phone and internet are now up and running (Fingers crossed they stay that way)

I created a li’l ole tilda card , haven’t used a tilda image for a while.

just a quickie post to let you know where iam. I have been away on holiday for the past 2 weeks. The week before that i had no telephone or internet as some travellers have pinched the telephone cable from underground....again!!!! I came home on saturday to find out that it happened AGAIN while we were away on holiday,was up and running for a day and then they pinched it again!! Right now it's still off... not sure how long it will be....am lost without it :( The thing is when they do manage to repair all the damage...again...how long will it be before they steal it!!!

Back to the challenge deets which are create a card or project with TWO PATTERNED PAPERS (manufactured or handmade), FOUR BUTTONS AND SIX LAYERS!

Now i’m not really one for layers on layers etc so i was a little ‘stumped’ as too what to do……and then it hit me…lol Who says a butterfly can’t have 6 layers…hehe!

I soooo love these 2 PTI butterfly dies so just HAD to use them, also that fave embossing folder and those simply gorgeous MME doily stamps, they are so, so pretty! I also used me fave cs which is linen.

…see look 6 layers to me butterfly, 2 different types of papers, kraft card and a later of felt. See that gorgeous greeny marble effect button there…. i did that with copics!…Love it!

A Li’l bit of home decor!

as soon as i saw this i immediately knew that i was gonna create a cute home decor item using the fab WM sewing bow hugs stamp set.

I LOVE me new picture. I used one of the flower stamps from the sewing box hugs stamp set. The paper i used was from a gorgeous melissa frances paper pad which i might add, i actually won from the city crafter challenge blog many many months ago (I normally just look at the paper rather than use it…lol) This way i can look at it all the time, so cutting into it doesn’t seem so bad!

I am soooo late with this post (2 days in fact ) My li’l girl has got gastroenteritis and has been really poorly, my OH has been working away so i just haven’t had the chance for anything.

It’s the fist time i’ve ever joined in over at Mojo monday , bit i loved the sketch so i thought i would give it a try. My creation is also for the following challenges. BUNNY ZOE’S – LACE, CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS – LACE AND PEARLS, REALLY REASONABLE RIBBON’S – ANYTHING GOES,

I actually crocheted a trim onto the edge of the lace. (Iam into the whole crochet embellies again lol)

I think the crochet teamed with the lace, felt and sparkly glitter is so pretty. Looking at me card now i wish i had machine stitched around it (too late now though)

Waltzing Mouse Tea Party

WELCOME to my Tea Party, sit yourself down….grab a cup, have a piece of cake and enjoy

Waltzing mouse is having a special Tea party celebration to celebrate their 2nd birthday on the 21st May…you can find out all the deets HERE I simply could NOT resist joining in! Here is what i created for this special occasion.

Fancy a cupcake? created using WM cuppie love template. Cupcake stamped with plaid stamp from offbeat backgrounds.

Special ‘Tea’ packaging created using the WM free tea bag baggie template, stamped with off beat background plaid stamp, die cut sentiment thingies stamped with rescue remedies (LOVE these) need to get me the nesties to match as i had to cut these by hand. Placemat and place card stamped using that plaid stamp again lol and images from sewing box hugs (soooo love these cuties)

Bottom right you can just see the tea cup that i created using the WM nice cup of tea template. The outside of this cup was stamped with bitty banners.

I just HAD to have a banner, i just couldn’t get it to fit in the pic hanging up so i had to place it down on the table like this to get it in the shot…lol Banner created using WM Vintage banner stamps and sewing bow hugs. How well do these 2 sets go together to create a cute banner…perfect for a babies bedroom (or my craft room…lol)

…just a close up of one of the tea bag baggies.

All the creations together…just waiting for a guest to arrive btw the plants that you can see in the background are the Chloe monsters tomato plants. Think am gonna have to get some bigger pots and quick, as she planted 25 seeds between 3 pots and LOADS have grown, there are 13 come through in one of the pots….lol

Pretty…pretty…pretty….

…stamps Oh MY…how i love, love LOVE my Waltzing mouse stamps. I could seriously sit n play with these all day long. I LOVE that i don’t even have to use pattern paper , i can just create my own and I SO LOVE the plaid background stamp. Who’d have thought that a stamp that is just 2 lines would be me fave and i would love it soooo much! lol (I could have saved myself a FORTUNE if i’d have found WM sooner…lol) …Enough of me rambling, cos seriously i could just go on and on about these stamps…lol

Today i have created a pretty card based on the WALTZING MOUSE SKETCH CHALLENGE , also SHABBY TEA ROOM who want monochromatic using 1 colour and any neutrals, also THE CITY CRAFTER who want stripes and polka dots and last but def NOT least THE RIBBON REEL which is a pic inspiration, Strawberries and cream using flowers and ribbon/bakers twine. (I’m not quite sure if me card fits for the ribbon reel cos i don’t have ribbon on it or bakers twine, but i DO have embroidery thread on it which i have crocheted to create the flower, so ya could ‘pretend’ it was bakers twine I must get me some bakers twine…seriously i still don’t have any….lol

I seriously CAN NOT believe that this whole card (apart from the flowers..lol)has been created with just stamps

….Or should i say Pizza Boxes! That’s the challenge over at ALL THAT SCRAPS this week.

Just How cerrrrr ute is this li’l guy! I don’t usually do anything with image stamps that aren’t girly…lol Me…monkeys??…nah. Only now i must say that when i got this l’il chappie and coloured him up i simply loved him, simple to colour, simple to cut out…just perfect. He is a CC design digi image ‘BIRTHDAY MONKEY’

I decided to add some little dividers inside my li’l pizza box, so as i could add some bits and bobs.

There has been no sentiment etc added to this as at some point this set will go to someone as a gift, not sure who or for what occasion yet, so hence the reason for no sentiment…lol Ooohh…just had an idea!!!…lol How FAB would it be to create one of these mini pizza boxes with a mini pizza card inside??? OOOh i may just have to try that idea. Would be perfect for those hard male cards!!!

Over at Mo’s the challenge is ‘here comes summer’ and the city crafter want ‘By the sea’ and i think this gorgeous image from Mo’s fits the bill just fine.I know this card is very plain n simple. I quickly threw this together for my neice’s 4th birthday. I have already made her a card, this one is for the Chloe monster to give to her. She is going on holiday for her birthday, and at the weekend the lil chloe monster and grandparents are going to join them(just for the weekend) so i thought it would be fun to make her a beach theme birthday card.

Bright…but soft…lol

Im in by the skin of me teeth wi this one for the Shabby Tea Room and Let’s craft and create. The Shabby tea room wanted ‘ruffles’ and craft and create wanted ‘sewing’….Soooo what did i do??? I sewed me ruffle hehe! The pics are rather crappy as i have taken them tonight, so it’s electric light i’m afraid.

I used a new My minds eye doily stamp set (Stella and Rose) that i got last week! LOVE it! and it was only £5.99..absolute bargain!! I also used me new embossing folder again(I LOVE it sooo much) And of course i used me PTI button boutique stamp set…hehe, ya just already know that i love this ! I stull haven’t really created much with it yet though. I SO WISH pti would reduce their shipping costs to the uk. There are lots of things that i would like to get and would prob order every month, but it’s simply way to expensive, as if it’s only a small order the shipping is like 2x or 4 x the cost of your order, then another daft anount at this end by customs. And if you place a large order to get the most from the shipping then customs here really do get ya! The whole thing just really isn’t worth it. Every month i look on at the new realeases and im like…OOh i’d love to have that…and that…ooh i need that…i want that! lol

The postage really doesn’t have to be that high at all, it’s ridiculous. (I reckon it’s just a ploy to keep all that pti goodness in the states, they just don’t want us brits to have it! that’s what i reckon)

A couple of weeks ago i placed on order with My time made easy for some stamps. The shipping only worked out at about £3 or less, in fact im sure it was less…lol Anyhows, i ordered on a saturday…and on thursday , just 5 DAYS later my stamps dropped through my letterbox! Now that IS cheap postage and 1st class service! When the postage is that price you can afford to make small regular orders, that way it keeps customs away…lol

MTME PP # 9

I can’t believe that we are already onto week 9 of the MTMEPPC , the time is going sooooo quick. I go away on holiday in 3 weeks and in september me li’l Chloe monster will be starting full time school!!!

Anyhows back to the point of me post..lol Here is the pretty palette that we have for you to work with this week.

Now a few years ago this was my fave colour combo ever! Now i have done a complete U-turn and switched to pastels…lol Here is what i created using this weeks colours.

I used the cake image from the ‘ON DISPLAY digi set’. There’s some great images and sentiments in this set for lot’s of different occasions.

I used me new embossing folder again…LOVE IT! I wanted the cake to be THE focal point, with no other pp etc on the card. Soooo…a few times i have seen creations where ppl have just embossed using the nesties as apposed to cutting things out.Anyhows i decided to try it out as i thought it would go great ! So i tried it and voila! LOVE it! Why did i never try this before??? Right now iam thinking to cut some more cb this size, emboss with the folder, then the nestie. Then they are there ready for when ya want a quickie card , cos all you gotta do then is pop an image in the centre and ya done! (unless ya just can’t help yourself from adding in a bit of ribbon….lol)

Over at mo’s they are going….

……Monochromatic! That’s the challenge over at Mo’s right now. I was lucky enough to win last weeks challenge over at Mo’s last week, so this week i have used me prize image

Now when it comes to Monochromatic everything HAS to be the same colour, but just different shades of it. So when i started to create a card i just couldn’t

I made sure everything was blue, but then i got to thinking that even if all the papers, embellies etc that i used were blue, it still wouldn’t be Monochromatic. It stopped being Monochromatic the minute i added the skin colours. So instead i decided for black/grey. Here’s what i made…very simple.

Even the cb is grey. The paper i printed ontp however is white, although i did chalk all the bacground in light grey.

I just got these 2 new embossing folders. i don’t usually bother much with embossing folders but i adore these, they are def at the top of me ‘FAVE’ list.

The embossing folder below reminded me of the ‘photo card mounts’ that you get with photographs, so i thought it would be a cute idea to pop this cute little chappie in there. A simple idea for a baby anouncement card!

I LOVED colouring in just greys, it is the first time i have ever done it and i must say that i did get a bit carried away…lol

OUR CREATIVE CORNER GUEST DT

This week iam ‘thrilled’ to be the guest DT over at OUR CREATIVE CORNER. This week the challenge is : The wonder of weaving!

When i was first told what the challenge was i just thought ’OH MY…lol I didn’t have a clue what to do. In the end i thought that it should be simple enough to weave a handle (Hehehe…i took the easy route )

I used a cute free basket template from Waltzing mouse you can find it HERE

The handle was simple enough to do. I just weaved one long piece of ribbon through 3 pieces of cs. This pretty little basket is now home to some of me flowers. It’s a lovely little basket to give as a gift too, with a little gift/chocolates etc inside.

What a nightmare when you lose your internet for a few days . I have quite a few posts to do too (that should have been online last week) Starting with my DT creation for ALL THAT SCRAPS wednesday challenge. This week the challenge is ‘Anything goes’ so it’s simple

I decided to create a gift box.

It’s quite a decent size box measuring around 6inch square by 4 inch deep. This is for me niece for her birthday. The colouring looks hideous on her clothes…lol Her outfit is actually covered in glitter (Little girls like the sparkly) however the camera hasn’t picked it up very well at all.

i simply could NOT resist having a play with the other mo manning image that i got the other day. Thought i would create something for the Fabby OUR CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGE their challenge is to use embroidery floss! Now…i know there is only a titchy bit on me creation (on the button) but it was supposed to be wrapped around the butterfly too…only i attatched the little felt heart and stuck the butterfly down before i had added it! *So ya just gotta IMAGINE that it is there around the butterfly as well… hehe* I think that this image ‘Waiting for rain is sooooo cute! and i of course HAD to colour it in pink!

Pretty …cute…pink ……..and four!

I got myself a cpl of new digi images from Mo’s the other day. As i wanted to buy the ‘Cotton candy’ Make a wish fund raiser digi image. (While i was there buying it…another image jumped into me basket too…don’t ya just hate it when that happens??…lol)

This week the challenge over at Mo’s is ‘Pink and Girlie’ It’s been AGES since i joined in with one of the challenges Dunno why, cos i LOVE the images.

Here is what i created using that FAB cotton candy image (If ya don’t have this image already get yourself over there and buy it, it’s for a great cause and it’s a really cute image too)

I created this for my niece’s birthday in a cpl of weeks. She will only be 4 so i didn’t want to add to many embellies ect onto it, I couldn’t resist adding the lil bit of blue to her dungarees…hehe! This image is so so simple to colour and so cute. It’s great to use for a kido’s birthday. I even decorated an envelope up a little to go with!

MTME Pretty Palette #7

I am seriously ‘losing’ my days this last cpl of weeks with all these bank holidays…lol It’s Sunday again already! Which means it’s another MTME Pretty palette challenge

I actually struggled with the colours this week. Don’t know why, cos i do like me pink.I think that i just had no mojo and just could simply not come up with anything that i liked. In the end here is what i did.

I used the ‘Singing silhouette’ stamp set for the cage…birds and the timy flower stamp on the bg.

I smeared a lil bit of pale pink acrylic paint around the edges of me card.

Tissue paper over at Moxie FAB!

I thought i would join in with the ‘tissue paper’ challenge over at MOXIE FAB

Here is what i came up with

YES…it’s simple….understated…that’s the point of it.

Sometimes…at hard times it calls for something like this…something simple…something different,,,something to show someone that you care , that you’re thinking of them.

I remember when my son died, all the cards that i received…with sympathy…with deepest sympathy etc. These cards were ‘ok’, they were the kind of kind that were ‘acceptable’ when my dad died, when my nanna died…BUT when it’s YOUR child it’s a completely different ball game and i guess that, that’s something that you can NEVER understand unless you are in that situation yourself. You can sit there and say..Oh yeah i know how you feel…i lost my Husband/wife/Brother/Sister/Mum/Dad…blah blah…and you think that you know!!!! Believe me it is NOTHING like compared to losing a parent etc. When you lose a child part of you dies, you change, you become a different person that what you were. You ‘carry’ this ‘PAIN’ with you every day for the rest of your life.In fact from my own experience, and from what a few others have told me …at first it does actually ‘feel’ like a physical pain. The ‘pain’ never goes… 4 years on, it’s still there for me. ‘People’ seem to think that once the funeral is over, you’ll be right, you’ll get ‘over it’ . I wish they could bottle up this feeling, let people ‘really feel’ what it’s like just for a day. The whole point of crafting…creating for me is a way of trying to relax etc. i blog and i blog hop…and the amount of blogs that i stop by and i find someone ‘complaining’ over something soooo trivial…..and i just think..IF ONLY…if only that was all i had to get me down…seriously…. you really DON’T know what you have until it’s gone ,,,and then when it has ..it will haunt you for the rest of your life!

….Anyhows…iam waffling…sorry! It’s VERY rare that i ‘get into’ these sort of ‘conversations’ on here…it just started from me trying to make a point of a simple card that let’s someone know that you are there for them. The point is…sometimes a card doesn’t have to be ‘all that’ sometimes it just has to say the right thing…

Think i’ ll end this post now and go to bed before i stat going on again…lol G’nite all.

This weeks challenge is ‘HOME DECOR’ so just create something to ‘pretty up’ your home . When i was asked to join i thought that i had ‘plenty’ of time to create something for this week….so wrong…lol Forgot about my sis n nephews coming for a few days, easter n such! So i had to ‘very quickly’ put something together yesterday morning! Here is what i made!

I was in such a rush to get it made that i didn’t even get chance to colour the images ‘properly’ ….and i only ‘forgot’ to do the cheeks!!! How could i forget that???…lol

I make these frames quite a lot. I use them to decorate me craft room..Chloe’s bedroom etc. I sometimes put acetate on the inside of the opening. This completed frame measure 6inch x 6 inch. I made it out of blue CS then swiped lots of pale blue acrylic paint all over it (Trying to create a wave/ see type look…lol) I used a bit of glossy accents on the life saver ring thingy and on the hat!

Why not POP OVER to the challenge blog, take a looksie and join in! You DON’T have to use a CC image to join in with the challenge. You can use ANY stamp that they sell in the store and All that scraps sell lots of different stamps, CC, Magnolias, Stampavie, penny black, mft plus lots of others! So I’m sure you probably own some of those stamps

MY TIME MADE EASY PRETTY PALETTE #6

Iam a ‘little late’ with my challenge posting! *Sorry!* Here is this weeks MTME pretty palette

I don’t think that i have ever used these colours together and i guess that this is the great thing about working with colour palette’s because you get to use colours that you wouldn’t normally use. So when YOU are looking through the challenges and come across a colour challenge, maybe even MTMEPPC and you look at it and think ‘nah’ i can’t use those colours, they just simply are not my colours to work with, simply ‘throw’ yourself right out of your comfort zone and give it a go Iam loving working with different colour combo’s! So here is what i created for this week.

I ended up creating two cards. I seem to be doing that a lot lately when i’m working with new colour palette’s.

I had such fun creating this gift set today! I even got all messy with acrylic paint …lol (haven’t done that for a while) So the inspiration for this gift set came from the following places. Moxie fab World – Gift challenge , Shabby Tea Room – Pastels and stripes, Our Creative Corner- 3d easter project , Crazy 4 challenges – an easter gift . Simon Says Stamp – Emboss it .I know that the gift box thingy doesn’t specifically say ‘easter’ on it, but it is a gift for someone for easter, so i thought that, that would mean the same thing!

I’m loving being back in me craft room, even though it still needs a makeover. It’s just so nice to be surrounded by prettiness, it helps to get ya motivated, especially at the moment with the lovely weather. Today i have been sat in there with the door wide open, the sun shining in, watching Chloe on the bouncy castle in the garden. The perfect setting for a bit of creating. So here is what i made today!

I think i smeared a bit of pale pink paint on almost everything haha! Iam sooooo loving these pti butterfly dies1 I ‘LOVE’ that you can just cut out of patterned paper and then just use that as your embellishment!…so quick….so pretty!

One of the BEAUTIFUL sentiments from the PTI ‘Love lives here’ stamp set! I truly ‘HEART’ this set and have been hankering after it since before Christmas, but i only just managed to get me mits on it a cpl of weeks ago Still haven’t had a ‘proper’ chance to play!

I am really liking the look of the acrylic paint!

…An oh so pretty gift box , jewellery box. I made this out of really sturdy card. As i’ve made this to be a trinket box for jewellery etc. The lid just opens and closes as it has hinges.

I really ‘took my time’ with this today, doing things slowly. I ALWAYS love the detail in things. I LOVE adding detail, whether it be inking the edges, adding liquid pearls etc. I just think that the ‘little’ details finish a creation off. For the ‘plaque’ on top of me trinket box i cut a mft die shape fro cream cs. I then stamped a sentiment from the pti ‘Love lives here’ set onto it. Then i was debating whether to just leave it at that, but then i decided that as this was an actual trinket box, that it needed MORE, it needed something else doing to the plaque. So i smeared across most of it with the pale pink acrylic paint, then i inked the edges ‘generously’ with vintage photo. I then gave it 4 coats of UTE, popped it in the freezer a while, took it out and gave it a few cracks. Rubbed some vintage photo into said cracks and then that was it, i felt that it was now indeed a plaque haha! I even gave the little butterfly a bit of the UTE treatment…hehe.

I think i really must make more things with hinges! I Love hinges…hehe!

I soooo had to get me this image from Sassy Cheryls. I love here images as i think that they have ‘attitude’ lol *Just like me li’l Chloe monster!

I also just HAD to add some glossy accents to her shoes, so now she has orange patent shoes Chloe right now goes everywhere in a purple pair of shoes…lol

…Well that’s certainly how it seems with 3 posts in one day…lol *Thank god for scheduling posts haha* This one however *IS live * I have created another card. I didn’t have very long to *play* so it’s not so fussy n fancy. I already coloured the image a few nights ago This card is for the following challenges THE CITY CRAFTER which is a pic inspiration *You have to case it, and it must be birthday themed* (I just cased the idea of the cake and the pinky/red colour) It’s the city crafters’s birthday!!! 1 already..WOW how time flys! *Just wanna say that their sponser this week, i have never heard of…lol (I’m so behind the times…lol)…anyhow’s i went and ‘had a nosey’ (as ya do) OH MY…so glad that i found em now, a few things just happened to fall into me basket! This card was also created for SASSY CHERYL’S COLOUR ME CHALLENGE The image IS a Sassy Cheryl image.I first come across Sassy Cheryl last year sometime and i did buy a fab missing you image, it kinda got lost somewhere on the laptop *Me laptop is so crowded things go missing on here as well as in me craft room…lol* Anyhows a cpl of days ago i found said image which then made me remember about Sassy Cheryls, so i went for a looksie,,,again and got myself another cpl of images, this being one of them (The other you can see tomoro) And last but not least FAB N FUNKY who want ‘Spotty and Dotty’ and this card is spotty …Oh yeah, i guess i best show the card then huh!…haha

I used loads of glossy accents *and a sprinkling of glitter* for me cupcake topping! I’ve coloured another one of these and used glossy accents and fun flock..and wow it looks just like icing I just haven’t had the time to turn that image ‘into’ anything.

I know this card isn’t quite me usual, but this is going to me nephew who will be 7 next week. I think the pinky/red icing and glitter is as much as i can push it…don’t ya think ? lol

Let’s take a Waltz :)

Waltzing mouse stamps do a WM friends waltz on the 17th of every month Deets HERE

This is the first time that i have joined in (Well i did only *find* WM about a month ago…lol) I didn’t get chance yesterday to do what i had planned, i only managed to get one little thing done thanks to the joys of gardening and kids, so please don’t be expecting much from this post…lol (Will promise to have something better next month…lol) The theme this month is Easter! Well i don’t have any WM easter stamps so i had to use another easter stamp image alongside my WM stamps. I decided to show how to create a quick treat/gift holder using the Vintage banner stamps.

You could always stamp an image onto the inside square base too *I was in a rush…lol*

Thread some ribbon into the holes to hold your pennant holder together, add a tag etc.

Obviously you could decorate the outside up a lot more , i just didn’t have the time so i just had to leave it plain

I absolutely love these vintage banner stamps. I just need to get the lil ole funds up a bit so as i can place order #3 with WM…lol

Pretty Palette challenge #5

This past week having the ~~little monsters~~ kids at home has just flown by. I can’t believe that it is sunday already, to be honest i still can’t believe that it’s already april or should i say half way through! It only seem 2 minutes since Christmas. It’s only 7 weeks till we go on holiday….oh my that has come round quick! Soooo today is the day for a new Pretty Palette Challenge #5 Here is this weeks pretty palette.

…and here is what i did with those colours…

I decided to create a little gift set. It has been ages since i decorate a candle! The images that i used on the candle were from the ‘So fortunate’ digital set . The frame and sentiment are from the ‘Sentimental occasions labels digital set’ I really love the font in this set….and the frames…lol (I have a *thing* for frames right now) The paper is from ‘That hit the spot’

For the candle i printed the images onto some tissue paper. I then coloured the images with prisma pencils. Then using grease proof paper wrapped around the candle to keep the image held in place where i wanted it i used the heat gun to melt the image into the candle, easy peezy lemon squezzy eh!…lol . The candles are super easy using stamps too, just simply stamp onto the tissue paper.

Creating candles like this are a super easy way of creating personalised gifts, as you can include names and dates etc , or even (what i like to do) photo’s! Super easy,just print your chosen photo’s onto the tissue paper.

A li’l spring is in the air me thinks :)

That’s certainly what the weather has been saying the last few days I guess when the weather is brighter and more cheerful it makes you kinda wanna create more springlike/cheerful creations (I think so anyways…lol) So……….inspired firstly by the photo inspiration from THE SHABBY TEA ROOM which is also doilies & Lace. Then there is the WILD ORCHID CRAFT CHALLENGE which is ‘Wings’ and CREATIVE CARD CREW which is spring!

Here is what i created….

I used a large doily stamp from hero arts for the main background. The little leaf stamp around the adge of the doily is from My time made easy, as is the birdcage/bird/branch and frame stamps.The butterfly stamp and die are from Papertrey ink. The flower is from wildorchid crafts, I used a little liquid pearls, glossy accents and glitter and added some lace from me stash. Just pretty and girlie

It’s that time again. Time for another colour challengg over at My time made easy .Iam really enjoying these colour challenges as it’s taking me out of my comfort zone and getting me to use colours that i wouldn’t normally use.

So i got to work…and here are 2 cards that i made

I loved using these colours together . The main paper that i used on both cards is MTME preserve it – Cherries and peaches. This set of papers are just lovely. The ‘Sending you Sunshine’ sentiment is MTME from the sensational digi kit I really love this sentiment.LOVE that font. The butterflies were also cut from MTME papers, Fresh cut expressions 2 and Gaga for gingham

All the same papers were used on this card too. The Friend sentiment is from Sentimental occasions digi set

Do ya see me flower??? I made that :) Go me…lol I’ve been trying to create flowers myself from different things, so get ready to see more homemade flowers over the coming weeks :)

Why don’t you take a Waltz with me and CR84FN :)

This past week over at Waltzing Mouse they had a SOAP event …(Stamp of approval parade :) They were showcasing last months release as well as older sets. I only just discovered WM a few weeks ago and i simply ‘adore’ the stamps that i have purchased so far.At the moment i only have 4 sets :( Which are bitty banners, vintage banners, one of the label sets and offbeat backgrounds.(Ya just GOTTA try that plaid stamp from the offbeat background set, it is soooo fab. Being able to create your own colour combo plaid backgrounds..Love it! *Need the fat plaid now…lol* Sadly i don’t have any of the image or sentiment sets …yet so that’s why i haven’t been able to use any on this project. Anyhows….to cut a long story short…lol After the ‘soap’ event WM they are doing a ‘Case Competition’ You have to pick out a card/project from the event and basically ‘Case it’ Gotta say that for me right now it just had to be Banners…soooo love these stamps. So i chose to case Claire Brennan’s banner creation from day 1, which was this

I LOVED the idea of using several pennants to create one larger pennant *I never even thought of that before…thanks Claire :) * So that’s what i was gonna do and then i saw the current challenge over at CR84FN which is this colour combo

I loved the look of this combo, however it isn’t one that i would ever use. I tend to put green with pink and blue with brown. Anyhow’s i got ‘to work’ and here is what i came up with.

I gotta say that after creating this i know LOVE this colour combo . I guess you don’t just have to create with pink for it to look pretty…lol I really love how this turned out. I used the large vintage banners stamp so this is quite a large pennant. Roughly A4 in size. I cut the pennants out using some wavy scissors that i have had for years and don’t think i’ve ever used them…lol *I knew they would come in handy one day :) * hehe! I have quite a few banner projects ‘on the go’ right now including 2 more of these, one the same size and the other way larger, it is roughly A3 in size and has a row of 5 pennants across the top row.

Iam soooooo tempted to create lots more like this size all in different colours/themes etc and then join them all together as one ‘huge’ banner to display around the walls in me craft room, how pretty would that look :) Hmmmm maybe i’ll lay off the cards for a while and do these instead…hehe I really did love creating this too :) SO thanks Waltzing mouse and CR84FN

MY TIME MADE EASY PRETTY PALETTE #3

Here are the colours for this weeks PRETTY PALETTE CHALLENGE

I love Lauren’s templates as they really are soooo easy to make. Here is what i made for this weeks challenge.

I kind of mixed and matched here…lol , as the fab frame is from SECRET SUPRISE and the sentiment is from KEEP STRONG . I love these sentiments. It’s the digital versions that i used. Being digital it was so simple to just change the colour of the ‘Failure’ word to what i wanted. So love the shape of that frame :)

I ‘forgot’ to put something inside for the pic :( lol You could fit allsorts of different things in this as it is a good size!

I created a SLIP COVER which i cut out on the cricut using sure cuts. if you don’t have a cricut etc you can still get the templates in pdf version.

I also had to make myself one of these :)

I love this CARD CATCH ALL , this is actually 6inches wide and 5 inches tall. Love it :) OOhhhh how pretty would both of these look decorated in the Pretty papers that i used in my previous post?…hmmm, must do that as those papers are sooo pretty and i do so like pretty :)

Creating with my favourite colours!

The creation i have to show you today was inspired by this inspiration pic from THE SHABBY TEA ROOM

These colours happen to be my most favouritist *Is that even a word?…lol* colours to work with together! Absolutely love them. :) Gotta just say that i WON the Shabby tea room challenge last week with the bird cage that i did :) …Iam so soooo pleased :) Go me!...haha! Thankyou TSTR girlies:) So these were the colours that i was gonna be working with, teamed with the sketch from CRAZY 4 CHALLENGES, I did ‘start’ with the sketch but then just kept adding to it…lol Spring and sunshine inspired creations were the order of the day over at RAISE THE BAR and last but certainly not least…ribbon, bling and handmade paper flowers were needed over at OUR CREATIVE CORNER *My ribbon roses were also handmade by me, if they count as well :)* I WAS also creating a banner to go with this set ….but it isn’t quite finished :( So here is what i made.

For ages i’ve been wanting to create some sort of flower thingy…lol Like one of those topiary thingies. So after i had started creating the flower thingy i realised that i didn’t have a pot for it to go in…so now it’s more like a wand…lol Originally i was gonna make 3, the other 2 were gonna be smaller.

My first ever attempt at ‘Proper’ ribbon roses!! I actually burnt me finger with the heat gun doing these…lol

I just sooo love these colours together.

That lace really sparkles. it’s soooo pretty.

A single foam rose and a little pink bear grass added for ‘extra prettiness’ lol (More left over wedding stuff)

I punched out so many circles and flowers to do this. I punched out way way more than i needed.So will definitely be doing more of these sort of things.

All the papers, sentiment and frame are from My time made easy The card blank was cut on the cricut ages and ages ago from a sheet of Anna griffin cardstock. All the ribbon, bling etc are from me stash.

Mothers and……

broken bones!!! No crafting at the mo peeps :( I have created notheing at all the past few days as a few days ago my mum took a nasty fall after waving to me and the Chloe monster as we drove away. I didn’t even notice that she had fallen , i didn’t know until i walked in my house and the phone was ringing, when my son’s gf told me to go back round. My mum was layed on the sofa, blood coming out of her mouth, crying in pain.She has a top set of dentures with just a few teeth on it, they attach with like a metal bar thing. Well, when she fell over she smacked her mouth and chin causing the dentures to dislodge at one side and they kinda twisted in her mouth causing the teeth to go through her lips , the top of the dentures to go through her upper gums, and they were kinda half in and half out. She couldn’t talk or anything. Then i looks down at her right arm and notice that her arm is like 1-2 inches higher than her hand, it was like a proper bend…(Ouch) so i says i think you’ve broken that. Anyhows to cut a long story short (Cos i’m waffling’ the last few days we have been backwards n forwards at the hospital. When she was originally seen by the doctors they never set her bones back in place before putting a back slab thing on it..(she had to go back the following day for a proper cast) anyways when we saw the consultant he says that she know needs to have an operation to put the bones back and have screws and plates fitted. Have they done this yet?…nope they have not.She was told to fast last night then they phoned this morn to say it was NOT gonna be today, now they have said to fast again tonight as maybe it will be tomorrow. So right now her bones are completely out of line with just like a bandage around it, no support at all. Her arm is swollen to like 3 times it’s normal size and it’s been like this now for quite a few days. Needless to say that she is in a lot of pain. Today is the first chance i’ve had to get online, so sorry that i haven’t had the chance to blog hop and comment. Not sure when i’l get the chance to craft as ‘hopefully’ she will have her op tomoro, so if she does i will be at the hospital all day. It’s times like this when ya kinda wish that you had private medical insurance as apposed to national health.

I’m stamping again….

….I’m having such fun jumping between just stamping and *faffy:)* cards n projects! I’ve never really been ‘into’ stamping as such.Yes i’ve ‘dabbled’ with the images which you have to colour etc, but i’ve never really tried just stamping, of trying to get the most out of a stamp…lol Of NOT using paper!! So this is all New to me :) but right now iam enjoying it…and to me that’s all that matters :) *Do what you love and love what you do* ….as they say…lol

Anyhows, the point of this post lol, Over at My time Made easy they don’t just have a new colour challenge going on, but a sketch one too. Here is the 1st sketch.

I DO love sketches, but when i look at ones like this with layers on layers it kinda ‘fries the li’l ole brain a bit’ Soooo i decided that i would ‘play’ along and see if i could kinds ‘simplify’ this whole sketch thing…lol So i had a go to see if i could do this sketch using just stamps! So i did…and here is the result!

Am soooo loving this pink and orange thing right now….lol *With a dash of green thrown in for good measure*

I quite like the finished result . Bright, cheerful, quick and simple, what more could i possibly want…haha! Great idea for giving to someone who doesn’t like ‘fussy’ cards. Plus i like it cos it’s different to the norm.

Pretty…Pretty…pretty….

I do so love pretty…:)
I saw that my time made easy has now started a challenge blog:) I do love Lauren’s templates, i’m just ‘lazy’ when it comes to all the cutting etc..lol I know that i have me cricut expression(which i never use) I did have the 1st version of sure cuts…hmph..until provocraft did another update to machine which made the sure cuts not work :( So since then i haven’t really used it, i have loads of lovely carts i just find it too time consuming…lol I’d rather just cut sumats with me cuttlebug! Anyhows when i saw yesterday what the colour challenge was, IVORY,LIGHT PINK,LIGHT GREEN & RED i simply had to join in with the challenge as it’s me fave colour combo *apart from the red bit…lol, i don’t usually throw the red in there* A couple of weeks ago i saw a lovely bird cage that Debbie had created using one of Lauren’s new templates. I really did love the look of the template, but there was no way i was gonna sit cutting that lot out…lol So because i wanted to join in with their challenge and because i loved the cage i decided to buy sure cuts 2 so as i could by the template and then get the cricut to do all the cutting for me…hehehe! So i’ve actually used me cricut! *Can’t remember the last time i used it..6mths/12mths…sumats like that…lol I have taken the pics in me kitchen and it is very bright in there today. I started out creating this with Mother’s day in mind…but now that i’ve finished it , i think it’s too pretty to part with and think it needs a place in me craft room instead…haha I also created a card to go with * I’l just give her the card* hehe

I managed to ‘throw’ a bit of red in there without too much trouble…lol The SHABBY TEA ROOM challenge is ‘bingo’….no not the game, you have to choose 3 in a row..or if ya brave all 9! Pop over there to see what i mean. I’ve actually used 7! The only ones that i haven’t used are buttons and brads ! *I can’t believe that i haven’t used any buttons…lol* Many thanks to they shabby tea room girlies for selecting my entry for last weeks challenge as one of the ‘hounarable metion cups of tea :)*
Over at LETS CRAFT AND CREATE their theme is ‘Mum’s the word’ so you are to create something for a mum/special lady etc. So hope this counts as i did THINK about creating something for mothers day when i started this, but i just love it too much to give it away :) …and as they say…It’s the thought that counts…hehe! It will just look pretty in me craft room, think i might fill it with flowers or lace :)

The City Crafter…

…The King and I…that’s the challenge over at THE CITY CRAFTER this week! so they want to see ‘CROWNS’ …well in my case it’s a ‘Princess’ not a King…lol I’ve had a lovely wooden crown for quite a long time and have never used it, i used the smaller ones but never the big one…i was saving it…for …*I have no idea, but i was sure an idea would present itself someday…lol* Well today was the day..this challenge gave me the reason to use it. I decided to do another one of those chipboard picture thingies…lol

Obviously i’ve used a pic of me li’l sunshine *The Chloe monster* lol All the photo items i create are all of Chloe.I’ve never done any of the boys. (I guess i only do girly things..haha!) The crown was just plain wood so i inked it pink and then covered it in that diamond stuff *forgot the name :(* I must say that although you can’t see it very well in the pics, it really does sparkle!

Chloe is very much a girly girl . She is forever playing dress up , outfits and tiaras/crowns and her favourite colour is pink. So that’s the reason behind this.

*Hopefully * in years and years to come, Chloe will appreciate having all these creations that i make of her :)

It’s their 1st Birthday!…..has it really been a year??? Geees, where has the time gone? I’ve loved their challenge blog right from the start, and whenever i get the chance i always play along. This week i couldn’t possibly not join in when they are celebrating their 1st Birthday. This is the pic on there blog this week

…and the challenge…design a card, banner and/or gift with a birthday or celebration theme. When i look at the pic i am just immediately drawn to the colours, pink and orange! I’ve only ever done this colour combo a cpl of times, but after playing today i love this colour combo…lol My creations for the tea room this week are very different to my norm…lol While i was ‘on the hunt’ lol for all items pti or similar products i came across 2 new (they are to me) companies and i simply HAD to get some of their goodies. They arrived today :) Sooooo pleased as i was waiting on this banner set for this challenge. To me i just wanted to pink and orange and banners, i was originally gonna create a banner, but when the new goodies arrived this morning how could i NOT use them. I remember the other day on one of me posts when i spoke about the stamping and how i now needed more coloured inkpads..(Iam SUCH a dingbat…lol) Today i soooo wanted to use the banner stamps but i wanted to do pink and orange, no other colours would do. Did i have an orange ink pad?…..nope! I was gutted :( So after moping around a while i suddenly realised that i HAD a draw full of Tim holtz ink pads …loads of gorgeous colours! I never even gave a thought to those or even thought of them as ink pads…lol I have only ever used them for distressing stuff and for colouring images, i’ve never stamped with them. So the problem of having a shortage of colours is now solved…lol So today i have just had fun stampin! Not one piece of dp has been ~~tortured~~ cut/used in the making of these…lol

Altogether i created 2 cards, 2 decorated envelopes and a small envelope for placing money/gift voucher etc inside.

I know that these are not fancy n fussy…lol , but i love them all the same! I love the colours..the fresh clean look…I really enjoyed creating these :)

Oh My..moxie fab ‘Trigger Tuesday’

…My oh My.. THIS is the ‘Tuesday Trigger’ over at the MOXIE FAB BLOG I love the moxie fab blog, but i’ve never joined in with the ‘tuesday trigger’ before…until today that is! When i saw this pic this morn, what did i immediately think of ? Yep….button boutique..it was screaming out at me…lol So while Chloe was at nursery this morning this is what i did.

Not sure what’s going on with the colour with the one below…I turned the card a different angle, away from the light. It’s quite dark here today and i don’t use the flash when i take pics of me creations.
Me li’l ole sewing machine took some hammer this morning when i was doing this card…lol
When i looked at the tuesday trigger i just saw cream,blue, stitching, buttons AND a button card…lol
So…sooo loving this stamp set. I even managed to stamp the ‘Vintage finds’ sentiment onto the blue trim :) I machine stitched around the main panels in zig zag stitch, then across the card front in a normal stitch to create 9 panels.I stamped a button into each of the panels.
I punched some li’l flowers out of the blue cs and then stitched ‘real’ buttons to them, then attached to the button card. I even stitched around the edge of the button card.
All in all i’m quite pleased with how this turned out! Thinking about my post yesterday regarding CAS cards makes me giggle…lol as i guess that this card is far from CAS …lol However if i get the chance i do plan on trying to come up with a CAS card for the trigger too :) I guess i love ALL styles…lol It really depends on my mood as to what style i create.

What’s on Your workdesk????

……I’ll tell ya what’s on mine…A load of mess, that’s what :( lol

I always forget to take a pic on a Wednesday for WOYWW ,Iam always lost with my days…lol Since i last joined in with you all i have now moved back into the craft room :) It hasn’t been decorated or re-vamped yet :( but for now iam just glad to have the use of it again.Here’s a few pics of what it usually looks like now that i’m back in there.

All the photo’s above are how it USUALLY looks like now that i’m using it again, as since i’ve been back in there i’ve been pretty good at keeping things tidy and organised:) Because now that i work at the pine desk i generally have everything set out on the worktops and no clutter anywhere, as now when i finish i ‘usually’ clear off my desk and put everything back how it was on the worktops….HOWEVER….lol this morning after taking Chloe to nursery i decided that while i had a cpl of hours ‘peace’ i would go and create something….sooo i did! Then after i finished, when it was time to go get Chloe, i remembered it was Wednesday i figured i would take a pic (as is) for you to see! *Not much point in just taking tidy pics all the time, right?…lol* the following pics are how it looks right now after i have been in there this morning. I haven’t had the chance to clean it yet (Gonna have to in a while cos mr postie has just fetched me a new stamp set n die ) NEED to try it out don’t i…lol

MY MESS

Quite a bit of mess me thinks :) I was playing around creating with the button boutique stamp set this morning, creating something for the moxy fab trigger tuesday . You may notice at the left front of me desk…next to the foam pads a white plastic thingy…lol Tis one of those nicotine inhaler thingymebobs! I USED to smoke…but NO more! I stopped smoking 5 weeks ago today *Go me* lol , so i just use this now and again when the feeling takes me. At the back of the desh under the dbl sided tape are loads n loads of ‘button cards’ that i did with the button boutique stamp set…soooo love this set :)

Front right… that IS the button boutique stamp set (Chloe knocked it on the floor the other day and broke the case :(…and when it dropped a teeny tiny stitch stamp has disappeared :( Oooh…look at the state of me cutting pads…lol *think i need some more*

So there ya go…me mess for all to see :)

Stamping…stamping and…….stamping :)

…Yep, that’s what i’ve been doing…lol I’ve been playing away with me new goodies:) It makes SUCH a change to just use stamps and make very simple CAS cards…LOVE IT :) I think i now just need lots more ink pads….lol The card that i have created here is fore a few challenges. Which are PASSION FOR PAPERTREY ( Paper piecing- I have paper pieced the little leaves) SIR STAMPALOT (pink/yellow and green! *Hope it’s ok that i have the little bit of blue added in*) LESS IS MORE (Part of your image off the page) ONE STOP CRAFT (Clean and simple) so 4 challenges in all :)….I guess i better show me card now then eh….lol

This was soooo simple to do …and i love it! I love the simplicity of it…the colours…the white space…nice n clean looking…:) *I think i go from one extreme to the other…lol) I know that the CAS style of card isn’t to everybody’s taste, and usually it’s not to mine, but i don’t get all that much time to ~~play~~ craft anymore. I do spend a lot of my craft time creating 3d objects and such which are quite time consuming,so i don’t have as much time as i’d like for cards.Plus then there’s the expense of it all…when ya start throwing loads of dp’s, ribbons,flowers etc all over your creation then they end up quite a pricey creation (which is fine if you sell them,are making it for a certain someone..or maybe ya just have money to burn…lol)…i really do love the look of the cas cards with maybe some ribbon and buttons thrown in for good measure…hehe
The stamps i used are PTI , Flower fusion #1 and Tag it’s #1 The green and pink ink are PTI too…the blue is SU, the sunflowers were coloured with a yellow prisma pencil .
Think it’s gonna be CAS cards from me for a while…lol

A bit more pti :)

Iam sooo behind with everything that iam posting cos of the silly internet issues :( I haven’t even been able to get any decent pics of this and now i haven’t got time to ‘mess about’ with photo’s…lol I made this creation ~~cos i wanted to play with ‘button boutique’~~ for PTI MAKE IT MONDAY #5 which is distressing edges and THE CITY CRAFTER which is ‘In my pocket’ *Many thanks girls for choosing my creation last week as one of the spotlight artists :)*

I obviously used me ‘button boutique’ stamp set as well as a few of the other sets and dies that i got…ahhh..*I can’t remember what they are all called’

Sorry for all the pics….lol I just could NOT get any decent pics of this at all. So as you can see i created a large pocket from vintage sheet music. I then created little ‘pockets’ using small glasine bags which each hold a dressed up little card created using ‘button boutique’ Each edge of the button cards have been distressed using a heidi swap edge distresser, then inked with a pti vintage duo.I’ve also used the dress form die and stamp, and the butterfly die n stamp.All the glassine bags have been held together on a jump ring.

A L’il bit of green

I’ve had no internet on me lappy last few days and when it has worked it’s so slow it’s virtually at a standstill. So…this card i have created for 4 challenges which are CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS……..I am thrilled to say that the card i entered into their challenge last week…WON!! Thankyou so much girls :) ,THE SHABBY TEA ROOM , COLOUR CREATE , LET’S CRAFT & CREATE

Yep…I have used some of me new goodies from PTI *I heart these goodies…lol* I used ‘button boutique’ ‘Flower fusion #1’ and ‘Tag it’s #1’

I’m really loving my PTI goodies and i can see me starting to create loads of CAS cards just using stamping…as i think that it’s so easy to create something that looks really nice quite quicky and also that literally costs nothing :) I have such a long list of their other goodie that i ~~REALLY NEED~~ would like to have…so we shall see…lol

RAISE THE BAR CHALLENGE

…..ME silly internet playing up agaon, so haven’t been able to post :( I was lucky enough to have my card featured over on the Raise the bar challenge last week :) *Thanks Girls* :) Which meant that this week iam a guest bar-tender :) The challenge this week is as follows :

Create your own
G.R.E.E.N. acrostic! …So basically you have to spell out the word G R E E N using the items on your creations…eg.. G for girl….. R for ribbon and so on… Here is what i made for the challenge.

My G R E E N was G for girl image…R for ribbon E for embellie (button) E for embellie (ribbon slider) and N for nestie

I’ts been a while since i used a character stamp but from a ‘girl’ stamp i couldn’t think of anything else for G…haha (Forgot that i could of gone green for G lol. I used a hanglar stamp. I kept the card very simple. Why don’t you POP OVER to the challenge and join in yourself :) See what GREEN ACROSTIC YOU can come up with :)

IT’S HERE….

…..My papertrey order that is…haha Thought i would show you it’s arrival :)

This little lot…(and not a lot either) has cost me £80. What annoys me about this is that the goods themselves were only half of that! This is howcome im showing ya.

The goods themselves only came too $66 which is £44.72 (it would have been more than that,but a lot of the things that i wanted were out of stock :( The postage fee was $30.92 which is £19.07

And then ya have the ‘good ole uk customs’ :( They charged me £12.08 VAT , then ya get the extra £8 on top of that for parcelforce to fetch it to ya :( It’s ridiculous. It seems that they have no lowered the vat limit, as it is now only £18, so anything over £18 and you will get charges. :( I’d like to know how the VAT is £12.08 on an order valued at £44.72 ??? I thought the VAT was 20%
….Anyhows…besides all that i could NOT wait to get that box open…lol
…Ahh i can’t see anything…just paper…lol It was def well packaged!

…….Got the paper out of the way…OOh goodies…
…Remove the tissue paper and this is what we have……
……OOOhhh…Delish….Am i a happy chappy…OH YEAH!!1 :)

I’m a bit dissapointed that i couldn’t get the rest of the stuff that i really ~~NEED~~ want , cos that way i only had to go through the shipping process once (for now that is…haha) So now i’m gonna have to put another order in , in a couple of weeks aren’t i…lol
I played with some of these goodies for hours yesterday…and i LOVE them…Iam hooked…lol

Despite the cost of shipping n customs etc….would i order again ?….Was it worth it?…The answer???….OH YEEESSSSS!!!!! :)

Back into the craft room

…at last :) Although me room hasn’t yet had a makeover to maker it all pink n pretty…hehe, i’m just so glad to have me stuff back in there…to be able to use it again.It will be later on in the year before it gets re-vamped. As hopefully in a few months we should be getting a new kitchen :)…and when that happens…i shall be recycling some of the old white kitchen units and having them on the walls in me craft room instead of the 2 large silly shelves :( (Oh did those for me as a suprise while i was at my sisters…lol) So once i have the units to go in there, that’s when i shall decorate,

Anyhows…right now Really Reasonable Ribbon are doing a ribbon organisation thingymibob…lol :) showing fabby ribbon storage ideas etc, so i figured that i would show ya me space including how i have some of my ribbons stored.

Firstly…below is me ribbons (or should i say just a few of them…lol) All sat looking pretty in me glass jars on my worktop.

This is the view by the door. Can’t wait till i have it all pretty…and have cupboards…but at least i have me space back! I’d kinda got used to using me pine desk in the conservatory so i decided to fetch it in with me…as it just fits…lol I just need a new swivel chair. It makes more sense having a seperate desk,instead of working on the worktops,this way i can have everything all set up how i want on the worktops,without having to move it all the time.

Now we start going around the room…

..me lonely cricut expression that i NEVER use :( I bet i’ve only ever used it a handful of times since i bought it…and yet i simply HAD to have it when i bought it cos i NEEDED it…yeah right…lol I can honestly say that i really can’t justify spending that amount of money on it as it just never gets used:( I think i’d rather just have a large die cutter and some dies instead…lol so

So that’s me little space..there is another shelf above this one..(but that’s me messy shelf so i aint showing that…haha)

For those that don’t know,this little room is at the bottom of the garden.When we had a new garage built a couple of years ago,we had this little room added onto the back of it.

SPRING….has sprung…

….In my craft room that it… It definitely looks like it in there with some of me pretty flowers and ribbons laid out on the worktops …so as i can see where they are :)
I had a little time earlier so decided to create something fo a couple of challenges. I didn’t really have all that much time cos i’m working on a little project…just for me :)
Anyhow…this card was inspired by THE CITY CRAFTER who want spring..with the colours pink,blue,cream & green. (Do hope that my kraft card base and the bit i used for layering are ok)
The challenge over at RAISE THE BAR is ‘Just Saying’ They only want sentiments…No images allowed. My card that i entered into their challenge last week was one of their featured cards this week :) Many thanks girls :)

To me this card def has a ‘Spring’ feel to it! Wasn’t to sure about it at first…but now i like it…lol

Another left over scraps card!

I managed to *Squeeze* another card out of those left over bits of paper :) Sometimes i like to create really clean and simple looking cards, especially when i want to use a particular quote as the main focal point. (I love using quotes on cards)

This stamp…this quote is my most favourite stamp that i own …i simply love this quote!

I happened to come across another new challenge blog for me, and that is LESS IS MORE an absolutely perfect challenge blog for me for when iam in me clean & simple mode…..and not just being simple….lol Their challenge this week is ‘3 squares’…… This card also fits in with another 2 challenges too, the 1st being ALPHABET CHALLENGE who’s challenge this week happens to be ‘Q’ for quotes! And last but def not least PAPERTAKE WEEKLY who’s challenge is ‘Anything goes’ It’s been quite a while since i joined in with papertake weekly.

Creative Mint Challenge

The very Lovely Melissa Phillips is once again starting the Our Creative Mint Challenges. This is the 1st time that i have ever joined in with this as i have never wanted to link up my ‘feeble’ attempts to Melissa’s blog…lol Seriously i love everything that this girl creates, the posts that she writes…they all just come straight from the heart…i could go on…but i won’t…i will seem like a stalker…lol ..but seriously Melissa’s blog is my most favourite blog in cyberspace!

Anyhows here are the 3 pics that Melissa chose. All 3 pics are from A CREATIVE MINT

Those pics are ‘droolworthy’ I simply could NOT resist joining in!! I think i may just have another bash at this when me ‘button boutique’ set arrives from papertrey :) *I so can’t wait for it to arrive'* :) When i was thinking of what to create i just couldn’t get the pic of the buttons out of my head..lol I do love buttons…especially pink ones:) I had no plans as to what i was even gonna create in the end i just pulled out some stuff, started cutting n sticking and this is how it turned out.

A few weeks back i managed to purchase a large book full of old sheet music (Love it) I used this as the main back paper. I stitched the nest paper strip on top. I managed to find my felt so just had to use it to create a large heart…and of course buttons…lol The buttons are basic grey as is the sweet pea rub on. Sentiment printed myself .The long tag and tape measure strip are K & CO. I hand crocheted the little cream thingy. I sparkled up a chipboard frame, it really, really sparkles but it doesn’t show so well in the pics. A bit of tulle and a few blobs of liquid pearls and the job was done.,,,ooh and a few pearls..just for good measure..lol….almost forgot, a crystal pin too…haha

Raise the bar challenge

I’ve created a quick card for a new challenge blog that i have come across called RAISE THE BAR Their challenge this week is MUG SHOTS….nah the don’t wanna see My ugly mug…lol they wanna see Mugs, hot drinks etc! As i mentioned in my previous post about using things up etc, i decided to carry on using the paper that was left from my previous creation…waste not want not and all that…lol…..and i dug out one of me old stamping bella stamps, i sold almost all me bellas last year, but kept back just a few of me faves and this is what i used on me card.

A really quick easy card this one…that is if you don’t take into account all the fiddly cutting to paper piece the image…lol
I stamped the image directly onto the card blank then paper pieced the image, then just added a matching border across the bottom. This is a great way of using those little scraps :)

Colour Create Challenge

I’ve created a card for the current challenge over at COLOUR CREATE CHALLENGE

I spent the past week clearing out all the stuff that was stored in my craft room so as i could go back to using it again.I just could NOT get on with just having a few bits n pieces to work with in the conservatory.Later on in the year i still hope to re-vamp the craft room, to make it look…pretty…but at least for now iam back in there…YEAH!!…lol

Because i was sorting thing etc i was finding loads of things that i’d forgotten about(as ya do) so i have decided to start using some of all this unused stash. I come across these papers and decided that they fit quite perfectly for this weeks colour create challenge. Heres the inspiration pic for their challenge this week.

You have to choose 3 fruits (colours) to work with, and the optional is ‘fruits’

I chose Kiwi, strawberry and cherry

This was a quick card to make. I actually used one of me Kars fruit stamps(The cherry obv…lol) Had them ages and never used them :( This has def gotta change..I MUST start using the things that i have. I just layered up the papers ,stamped the cherries and then paper pieced the image. The pic makes me sentiment look wonky…lol..It’s not really wonky…honest…lol
