lots of embossing

That's what I've done on my creation today. The challenge over at pti make itmonday http://nicholeheady.typepad.com  is to create wallpaper background designs. I had the (not so) bright idea of trying to create my background using glittered embossing powder. I used the stitched cross design stamp from the button boutique stamp set and the heart from the love lives here set to create my background.my sentiment is also from the love lives here set ( my fave set)
I'm still using my ipad to take pics , blog etc, and it's just not capturing all the sparkle :( I have used tiny silver stars on my background also, they look really pretty and sparkly.

I used tulle to create my bow for a really soft look.

Below pic more the real colour
I'd also like to enter this into Simon says stamp work it Wednesday challenge http://www.simonsaysstampblog.comwhich is blue.

It's way more sparkly and a softer colour irl.

singing in the rain or anything goes

That's the challenge over at http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk
Here is what I created for the challenge, I'm now too late for that challenge but as the next one is anything goes it's still ok :)
I stamped a gorjuss girl onto navy cs in a very pale ink (so as no lines would show) I then coloured the image with prisma pencils. It's the first time I've stamped and coloured an image on coloured cs, I do quite like the finished result. I've added glossy accents to the rain and her boots.

tag.....your it

http://tagyoureitchallenge.blogspot.de is the challenge that I'm joining in with today.
Here is my take on the challenge.
I don't normally create tags, but I enjoyed creating this one, and they are a great idea when I don't have so much time to spare.
The background was created using distress inks and a prima stamp. The leaves are pti stamp and die (sending you set) the SO is su stamp and the happy sentiment was die cut and I layered 3 together to make it stand out a little bit more.

pti make it Monday no lines watercolour

I decided to join in with this weeks make it Monday http://nicholeheady.typepad.com
The challenge this week is to do no lines water colour. I've never tried this before so decided to give it a try. I used the flower and leaves stamps from the sending you set and the sentiment is from (can't remember the name) small set with the dress form stamp lol. I stamped the image in antique linen and then water coloured the images using tim holtz distress ink using a water brush. I stamped onto Langton extra smooth card.
I quite like the finished result. I don't really have any large pti floral stamps as I would have liked to have a go with a larger flower too. I think I may even try and do a small canvas using this idea of the no lines stamping.
Have a great day folks :)

The Shabby tea room

Anyone for tic tac toe?
TSTR_216
Thats the challenge chosen by me over at the shabby tea room this week
select 3 squares in a row to use on your creation either diagonal, vertical or horizontal. (May use more than one row of three, but has to be a complete row.  Example: if I use pennants, fabric and buttons it is 1 row.  If I then want to use gingham also, to complete that row I must also use pearls.)
Easy peasy challenge i think Winking smile
Our sponser this week is Digital papers by janet  I love creating with janets  files. I had sooo many ideas running through my head for this one. Anyway in the end i deciced to settle on the idea of banners and pennants.
So i knew that this file from janet would be perfect.

The files come as above onto an a4 sheet so no re sizing etc was needed, just had to print and go. I wanted to do something a bit different this challenge so decided to use fabric and create a shabby chic banner. I printed the sheets of banner images directly onto transfer paper. I then ironed the images onto fabric and them cut each pennant out.

My initial idea was to decorate each pennant but after i had each one cut and then stitched onto ribbon, once i added the bows in between it just looked so pretty as it was. So apart from adding a button to the bottom of each pennant it was good to go. There are 9 pennents to my banner altogether, it is going to be going into the Chloe monsters bedroom. I used a creamy beige fabric rather than white for a more shabby chic look.

I really love the idea of these for printing onto the tranfer paper. Im thinking of creating another one but with added letters to spell chloes name. How fab would these be for christmas done in a christmas theme Smile

From the tic tac toe pic i have used pennants/fabric/buttons and fabric/ribbons/flowers
This was relatively quick and simple to do and i just love the finished banner. So just remember folks digital files dont just have to be used for paper and card Smile
Why not  pop over to the shabby tea room and have a look at what the other dt girlies have created for your inspiration.
