Our creative corner sketch no# 10

The week has flown by sooo fast. It's now time for another sketch over at Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge
Iam a bit 'mad' at myself this week...and feel like a complete 'Donut' Why ??? Cos i created something for this week using the Wrong sketch!!! I only realised my mistake when i went to upload it to the challenge blog and saw that everyone elses was different :( I was just about to head off to bed too, so i ended up having to stay downstairs a while longer and create something else.

I can't say that im all that happy with this card....but...it is what it is...and i didn't wanna 'let the team down'  so to speak.
The lighting for the pics was rubbish...and it shows the ribbon to be a bright blue...when actually it's not!!!...IRL it's a similar shade to the paper.
I coloured the image with distress inks...and yes a bit more paper pricking.
Supplies used:
Papers - Basic grey
floral stamp - inkadinkadoo
butterfly stamp & punch - martha stewart
pearls and ribbon from stash.

OUR CREATIVE CORNER

It's time for another OUR CREATIVE CORNER sketch challenge :)

As soon as i saw this sketch i immediately thought of a photo frame :)
So here's what i cam up with !

I painted the frame with acrylic paint and then embellished the frame.
The acetate embellies look really lovely ITF but it's hard to get a decent photo of acetate.
The photo is obviously my likkle Chloe monster. This was taken a couple of weeks ago on her 3rd Birthday!!
*3 already...it has gone soooo quickly*

The poor little thing took ill on boxing day...in the end she ended up with chickenpox. She has been quite sick with them too, yet none of my lads were ever 'ill' with them, but Chloe was :(
A few days before Christmas we took the kids to butlins for a short break and while we were there Chloe had her face painted...she loved it.So just after Christmas i bought her some face paints, but i was unable to use them on her cos of the chicken pox...i did however promise that i would paint her face on her birthday.
There was no big birthday party for her,as she was sick,so insyead we just had a little family tea party...complete with peppa pig cake...lol

This was my 1st attempt at face painting...lol I had to try and avoid the spots on her face too...lol
Chloe is nearly back to her old self now and most of the spots have gone now,its just the ones on her head and back that are still there.

Please POP over to OCC and check out all the 'absolutely drop dead gorgeous' creations that have been made by the other girls :)

Stamp and smiles and Our creative corner

Here is my card for this weeks Stamps & smiles challenge
Iam 'thrilled' to be December guest dt for stamps and smiles :) Thanks Jennifer x
I have used the very cute Cuppy with tree image from stamps & smiles for my card. It is such a cute image :)

I made the card base from acetate and inked the edges with white stazon...for once i managed to do it without smearing the ink all over the acetate...lol
Be sure to pop over to the stamps and smiles blog as they are previewing some new digi releases, and you can also download the digi stamp used in todays preview for free:)

Here is my entry for this weeks challenge over at Our creative corner
The challenge this week was the song 'Twelve days of christmas'
Seen as how the song contains lots of 'birds', i decided to make that my theme...lol
I made a very quick & simple card for ir too.

Papers : Mme
Embellishments - K & co
Ribbon from stash
The card below is what i created for last weeks Occ challenge! I didn't realise that i hadn't blogged it :(

Thanks for looking

Our Creative Corner and Project Tuesday

The challenge this week over on 'Our Creative Corner' is a colour challenge!
The colours were 'Chocolate chip'....'Pumpkin pie'......White....and Close to cocoa!
This colour combination had me 'baffled' as i don't really use orange at all!!
I do however have some SU cs, so that sorted the 'Pumpkin pie' bit....I also have 'Choc chip su ink pad'...i have white cs...lol, so then i was on the 'hunt' for something 'close to cocoa' lol
I eventually came across some k & co paper that seemed to fit the bill.
My sizzix 'pillow box die' arrived this week, so i decided to use that. This die makes the cutest little pillow boxes, i know that i have templates ect to make them myself, but this die is soooo much quicker, and they are so 'dinky'

I cut the pillow boxes from the su cs.
I then stamped a newly aquired prima damask stamp in 'choc chip ink' (This stamp is sooooo fab, Love it)
I cut the scallop ovals from the 'Close to cocoa paper' and stamped the sentiments with 'choc chip ink'
I also decided to make quick little cards to go with my boxes.

Supplie used.
White cs - stash
CB- craftwork cards
Orange cs -SU
Damask stamp - prima
Ink - SU
Sizzix die
SU punches
Ribbon from stash

This week the challenge over on Project Tuesday
is to make a little post it note holder. This really was so very quick and simple to make.
I didn't have any small pens or pencils, so i used one of Chloe's crayons...lol I just decorated it with matching paper.

Papers - K & Co/peppermint twist
Pink cs - SU
Sentiment stamp - Zetiology
