A Few bits for the Shabby Tea Room

This week the challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room is ‘Buttons and Bows’ Fantastic challenge for me i think…lol

I love this floral stamp from Inkadinkadoo (It’s out of a set) I think that it works great for paper piecing

Here i used some left over MME paper for this card plus i decorated up a little spice jar. I actually used me SU punch that i’ve had for ages,yet never used.

 

Just a touch of seam binding…lol

..At last some creating…

..after a bad couple of weeks i’m at last creating again

Here is a challenge entry for Crazy 4 challenges  who want you to use dies on your creation, and The City Crafter and their challenge is "NOTHING TO IT". We are going to see if you can make a creation with nothing on it... No bows, No lace, No flowers, No buttons. Also The Alphabet challenge who’s challenge this week is ‘P for Paper piecing’, and last but not least ‘Sir Stampalot challenge’ which is ‘All creatures great and small’

I used nesties to create my card base. I used papers from MME and stamps by Hero arts.

One World One Heart 2011

Hi and welcome to my post for One World One Heart 2011
For those of you who are stopping by here for the first time, Welcome and thankyou for stopping by my lil ole blog :)
My name is Sharon (Most ppl call me Shaz) Im a 37 year old mother of 4 (3 boys and 1 girl) I live in doncaster in england. I love creating things, I think that this keeps me sane :) I create with paper…creating cards/ 3d items, mini albums, scrapbooking..anything and everything really :) I LOVE creating with fabric, i just love seeing the end results of what started life out as just a scrap of fabric:) Last year i also started making clothes for me little girl. I also create hairbows and jewellery too. I like to switch between creating with paper and fabric now and again as i find that it helps keep the creativity flowing..(or at least i hope that it does) :) My style varies depending on my mood, however my favourite style and the stlye i often use has just got to be ‘Shabby chic’ …shabby chic makes me smile, i love the softness and prettiness of it. I love taking photos of anything  and everything, although my lil girl is generally the main subject. I recently passed me driving test a few months ago :) I also just got married in December. I will end the intro there ,as im unsure what else to say…lol
..So just as a thankyou because you decided to pop by and say hello *Waving* i have a couple of ‘door prizes’

Shabby Tea Room Dt Call #2

I just couldn’t resist doing something else for the shabby tea room dt call  . I had another nosey (as ya do) over there yesterday, and jeehs, good jod that i did, cos there was a cpl of creations entered that were a similiar idea to what i had in mind so , so glad that i had a looksie else that could of been a bit of a disaster…lol  I gotta say though that i think that there is some absolutely FAB entries for the dt call, so i know that i won’t get anywhere, but i still wanted to create a card anyways :)

So heres another 2 cards that i created based on the inspiration photo.

I decided to create using just basic supplies rather than lots of embellies ect. Sometime i think it does you good to create with the basics , gets your brain ticking a bit more…lol  As it’s almost Valentines, lot’s of challenges have the love /hearts etc theme , so iam also entering into the following challenges.

Shabby Tea Room Dt Call

…..I simply just could NOT resist could i…lol  When i went to look up this weeks challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room I saw that they had announced a Dt call ! Now i’m not normally into applying for dt’s n such…but oh my…It’s The Shabby Tea Room isn’t it! Which is only me FAVE challenge…so how could i possibly not. For the DT call it’s an inspiration photo.

Pink and black…Yum! :) These  2 colours used to be me fave colour combo! When i was thinking *trying to* of what to do…me mind went blank…lol  So in the end i thought that i would create something that i really love doing…so thats exactly what i did…i created a ‘thing’ as apposed to a card. I decided to go with the colours as inspiration which obviously is pink and black! Here is what i came up with.

It’s another creation for the Chloe monsters bedroom. It uses all the things that i love to create with. Flowers, pearls,lace,crystals,seam binding, charms,tulle and of course not forgetting some vintage sheet music :) I have been fortunate enough to have been able to purchase a full A4 vintage book of sheet music, it came this morning…LOVE IT!!! so i just had to use it already didn’t i…haha It’s delish i tell ya! Think you will be seeing a lot of this sheet music :) Not quite sure if this was the sort of thing i was supposed to create for the dt call or not, but creating this made me happy..I loved every minute of creating it :)
