The Shabby tea room

Anyone for tic tac toe?
TSTR_216
Thats the challenge chosen by me over at the shabby tea room this week
select 3 squares in a row to use on your creation either diagonal, vertical or horizontal. (May use more than one row of three, but has to be a complete row.  Example: if I use pennants, fabric and buttons it is 1 row.  If I then want to use gingham also, to complete that row I must also use pearls.)
Easy peasy challenge i think Winking smile
Our sponser this week is Digital papers by janet  I love creating with janets  files. I had sooo many ideas running through my head for this one. Anyway in the end i deciced to settle on the idea of banners and pennants.
So i knew that this file from janet would be perfect.

The files come as above onto an a4 sheet so no re sizing etc was needed, just had to print and go. I wanted to do something a bit different this challenge so decided to use fabric and create a shabby chic banner. I printed the sheets of banner images directly onto transfer paper. I then ironed the images onto fabric and them cut each pennant out.

My initial idea was to decorate each pennant but after i had each one cut and then stitched onto ribbon, once i added the bows in between it just looked so pretty as it was. So apart from adding a button to the bottom of each pennant it was good to go. There are 9 pennents to my banner altogether, it is going to be going into the Chloe monsters bedroom. I used a creamy beige fabric rather than white for a more shabby chic look.

I really love the idea of these for printing onto the tranfer paper. Im thinking of creating another one but with added letters to spell chloes name. How fab would these be for christmas done in a christmas theme Smile

From the tic tac toe pic i have used pennants/fabric/buttons and fabric/ribbons/flowers
This was relatively quick and simple to do and i just love the finished banner. So just remember folks digital files dont just have to be used for paper and card Smile
Why not  pop over to the shabby tea room and have a look at what the other dt girlies have created for your inspiration.

Pastel goodness

Is the theme for this weeks challenge over at the shabby tea room along with this inspiration pic
TSTR_215
and we are to use only pastel colours and use flowers and polka dots!
Our sponser this week is creations by AR. I chose to work with the fab birdhouse topiary cut file.
I love creating 3d items although i dont have much time to create them anymore, so i loved the oppertunity of creating one. Here is what i did.

The file does include a box that this sits upon. I just sisnt need to use it for this creation as i made this for myself to sit on my desk Smile But with the box, perfect for gift giving. Dont be put off by the cut files if you dont have a cutting machine. I actually do have a cutting machine that i could have cut this out with, yet i decided to use the pdf version and cut it by hand. so you can still use these files in their pdf versions if you have no machine.

Just a few simple bits to decorate the base.

The Shabby tea room Challenge #214

Its time for another challenge over at the shabby tea room Smile Where is the time going? It only seems 2 minutes since it was Christmas and now it’s the middle of April already. Time is just passing by so fast.

This week in the tea room the challenge is ‘Easter Sweetness’

TSTR_214

Create a project inspired by the photo and use spots and/or stripes.

Our sponser this week is the cutting cafe . I used the Easter window cards set For my card.

I love the easter egg shaped aperture in the card. My idea for this card is that iam going to attach a bag of mini eggs inside so you can see them through the aperture. I thought that it would make a cute easter gift. (Bag of mini eggs were not available when i took the photos as i sort of ate the bag that i had lol) So i just need to get another bag Smile

The stamp that i used is an old forever friends bear stamp and he has a pair of bunny ears on. I used some flowersoft on his bunny ears to add a little texture and make them look fluffy.

Speaking of bunnies yesterday we added two little bunnies to our family Smile They are the cutest littlest things, Patches and buttons (Named by Chloe) I will take a few pics of them in a couple of days Smile

This weeks sponsers are DRS Designs I chose to use the lovely Berry Wreath image on my creation.

I decided to create a gift bag as i needed something to hold some chocoaltes that Chloe got for my mum for Mothers day.

I coloured each of the berries on the image with a pink copic pen. Although you can’t see it in the photo i have glittered the twigs/branches of the wreath.

I also glittered up the flowers. Die cut a little bird to sit on the wreath. His wing and the butterfly were cut from felt

I just had to include a bit of pom pom trim Smile

Why not Pop over and have a looksie at what the other girls have created for your inspiration. Then if you feel inspired you could create something too Smile
