The challenge is 'ombre stamping'
I dont have the ombre builder stamp set that laura used in the video so i just used what i had.
My sons birthday is on boxing day so i decided to create a cpl of birthday cards for him.
I absolutely love the sparkle and shine stamp set and seem to be using it all the time at the minute :) however upto now ive only used it for christmas items ( i bought the holiday additions)
So this is my first birthday creation with it. I never create male cards either. I cut the sparkle die cut from white card and then heat embossed it with some sparkling embossing powder, it really does sparkle too (even boys should have a bit of sparkle too, especially at christmas time..hehe)
Heres a more plain male card, without the sparkle . Im entering these cards into the sss wednesday challenge too http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/as they want to see stars and i have plenty of those going on today :)
A few years ago i used to draw borders around my cards most of the time, yet i havent done it for quite a while although i think i may be starting again as my sister bought me this fab set of coloured fine liners for christmas (yes i have them now :) so i may have to start 'bordering again' and now i can even do it in colour.
I bought the 1940's stampafaire kit as I couldnt resist (as you do) i created a card with that too,
I thought it would be fun to use the stamps on a christmas card, along with the sparkle and stars die cuts and the christmas verse from the songbirds stamp set and die (i adore this for christmas cards)
The star pops off the card too so as it can be used for a decoration :) winter wonderland http://christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.co.uk are wanting decorations for there challenge, so heres my decoration attatched to the front of my card.
I also triecout the dies from the 1940's kit on some felt:)
Love them and cant wait to start using them on some projects :)
Have a fab day and thanks for visiting :)
