WOYWW ???

I always enjoy ‘nosing’ around everyones work space over at WOYWW so i thought it was about time that i started to join in. I don’t really have much of a workspace anymore :( My purpose built craft room at the bottom of the garden is sadly being used for storage right now. I’ve had to fetch just certain things into the conservatory to use. I saw ‘conservatory’ very loosly, as it’s more a green house. It’s joined onto the back of the house, all 3 sides and the roof are ALL made of glass, theres no brick, no wood, nothing…just glass, and it has a tiled floor. In the cold weather it’s freezing in there (and i do mean freezing) You can’t have a heater on in there as it causes condensation…..on the glass ceiling so then water starts dripping all over me and me stuff….lol And in the hot weather it acts just like a green house…absolutely scorching hot, so much so that if i sit in there in the summer, even with a fan blowing, it’s way ,way too hot..
So at the moment i’m only able to go in and create now and again when the weather permits :(  Hopefully by the time the hot weather comes around i’l  have me craft room back :) When i do get it back though i’d like to re-vamp it and get it how i want, empty it out, paint it pink :) get rid of the 2 large shelves and have cupboards instead…i NEED storagre..lol
So…for now this is my ‘little space’

This is my workspace, i’m using my old pine dressing table , it just won’t fit in my bedroom. It has 2 drawers at the front, hand for me ‘need to hand’ stuff
The desk has been left like this for nearly a week. And yes those stamps have been left like that all that time without being cleaned.(Naughty Shaz…lol) I’d been stamping some of me newly acquired hero arts stamps onto fabric.
Just to the left of me desk is a small table which has me cricut & carts, sewing machine. mm storage unit and prisma pencils on. Above that is an old spice rack which holds some of me mostly used punches.Just at the side of the table is a 3 drawer storage unit…that’s the end of that side.
At the right side of me table is me shelving unit (a recycled kitchen unit….lol) I also have stuff under the desk as well. And that’s all i have to work with :( I like to see me stuff especially me embellies etc, otherwise i forget what i have.
Hence the reason why i have this baby in the corner….me can’t live without stuff that i need to see, It contains lace, seam binding, crochet cotton, flock, glitters, buttons, pearls, pearl spays…and of course me liquid pearls. Just to the side of that is me glass jar containing tea stained twill tape.
Gonna try and have a nose around everyone elses space now:)
If you want to join in then please pop over to Julia's blog...the keeper of all the links :)

Conservatories are difficult rooms to work in at the best of times...lovely though, with views onto the garden, I expect. But, where you are working now is perfect.

Love your desk and 'stuff' I am like you I like to have it out so I can see it! I don't worry about the stamps too much when I don't clean them right away. They eventually get done. Tim Holtz says he never cleans his but then if I had his money I wouldn't worry about it either. LOL

It may not be your proper craft desk but it is certainly looking productive with lots of bits to hand ~ Nicky
